It's grey here, not the nice day that was forecast I packed last night, apart from the last minute toiletries, so all we have to do is get some breakfast and set off. We're going to pop in on D to wish her a happy birthday - we had a lovely meal out yesterday to celebrate
Morning all, it’s a lovely autumn day here. We had a great afternoon of dancing yesterday, saw quite a few people we hadn’t seen for ages and danced - and danced - and danced. I don’t think my knee was very happy but when the music plays and the craic is mighty, it’s hard not to dance!
Edward has gone to play golf and I have stuff to do around the house. 30 years ago we were on holiday in Kenya and met a lovely honeymoon couple from Northampton. Some years ago I established contact with the wife on FB (they are still married) and today she and her sister are coming to Howth for a few days, so we are supposed to be meeting up around lunchtime. They chose here because she thought it looked so nice on my FB posts, and I think the weather is going to be ok for their time here. Right, better get moving >>>>>>>
Off into town this morning, I took a return for Amazon to our main post office two weeks ago, but the tracking info says it's not been dropped off yet, very strange. Hoping they can let me know what's happened before I have to chase it. While we're there we'll pop into Specsavers and see if we can cost up new specs. Not sure if we need an appointment, I know we do if it's for an eye test Will also get some antihistamines, the bite on my foot is very red and still itching like mad. Plan to park at Waitrose, means I get a good walk and we need a few bits from there too.
Good morning. A beautiful sunny morning now that the gog and mist have burned off. MrsC has gone shopping with our daughter so I have been left to my own devices. We need to pay a cheque into the bank so I may pop into Pontefract to do that. We've had the central heating on already too. Safe travels Kaz. Have a nice day everyone.

Thanks everyone's The sun has been out since we got here, it's beautifully warm. We arrived just before 4pm, unpacked then walked up to the little Asda Express to get some food.
The bungalow is lovely and spacious - light, bright and scrupulously clean Tomorrow we plan to walk down to South Sands, about a mile away (we can just about see Salcombe from the back garden) and catch the ferry into town
