Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 22 Jul 2024, 04:26

Good morning.

A very pleasant 22° here whilst Don's facing almost double that.

Craig's got a site meeting in Stoke today so I'll very happily pootle round the house. :D

I'm cooking dinner tonight, a Thai green curry, and we'll continue binge watching Kin. We watched the whole of the first series yesterday.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A fairly brutal few days coming up, heatwise and it-s warm already.

All outside stuff has been done and puss cat is now wanting to come inside and kip

We are meeting Joaquim in Ourique about 11.00, as I have to pay him for the tyres and also he is sorting out the air/con, so might have to go Castro Verde with him.

Library on the way back, pop into the big Chinese for various bits and bobs and then I think the pool will be calling

Salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Hello you two and everyone

Oh yum Ally - Thai Green Curry; love that! Enjoy the pootling and then the binge watching
Jan, hope you can avoid the trip to Castro Verde; hope you manage to get all the bits and bobs you're after and then enjoy the pool. Sensible Molly staying in where it's cooler

A dull and grey start to the day, but promising to clear up later - which is what it did both Saturday and Sunday as well; start cool and then warm up towards the end of the day.
WFH day for me so the usual mix of work and pootle. Vet appointment this afternoon and a trip to Sainsbury's at some point as well.

have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s fairly dull here but supposed to brighten up later. I have two wash loads to go out on the line so no rain would be nice. Slept 8 hours straight last night, which was good. Edward has gone walking over to the golf club to play a few holes, his golf partner isn’t playing today. This afternoon I’ll be putting through our claim for expenses and compensation from Aer Lingus, when I booked the flights to Belfast, the lady told me exactly what to do and I jotted it all down - I’m old school and always have a notebook and pen with me. I kept all the receipts and we are also entitled to compensation under EU rules. So that’s today’s main task. Michael played a tough golf game yesterday in poor weather conditions and won - he must have been inspired by his trip to The Open!

Morning all.
Cloudy here, looks like we might get a shower.
Thai green curry - very nice. Molly is a sensible cat Jan, getting all her catty doings done in the cool of the night and sleeping during the heat of the day. I hope the vet visit goes OK Ria. Eight hours sleep is good Osc.
There was a terrible accident near us yesterday on the main road between Wakefield and Barnsley; six people were killed. A family of four in a car and two people on a motorbike. It's not the best of roads if you don't know it, especially in the winter but this was 4pm on a summer's day.
We need some shopping and I want a mini statement from the atm; so we may go to Pontefract.
Have a nice day everyone.

Saw about that accident even over here Crommers. So sad.

Good news, Mario in Ourique does gas for air con, so meeting there.

Good luck at the vets Ria xx

Morning all, it’s a grey one but the temperature is a lot more comfortable.

It rained while I was out with Bill and I’m hoping that’s our lot seeing as I’ve for two loads of washing to dry

We walked Bill yesterday evening, came home and decided to drive over to Lichfield for a wander around rather than veg out in front of the TV until bed time. Got a couple of coffees from McDonalds to drink as we walked. It’s a lovely city to walk around.

Crommers, I read about that accident earlier. It’s awful.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning everybody.

I have now got my computer and printer back working correctly and it is all systems go.

It was 20C when I got up with a fine rain. This has now stopped and there is blue sky with a few clouds.

Got a few phone calls to make. Then just pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Overcast and windy, still very warm indoors though.

Waiting for a Tesco delivery, they're just 4 stops away so shouldn't be too long. Not sure what we're doing for the rest of the day, if it stays dry we'll get out in the garden for a good tidy up, the bin gets emptied tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's a lovely day here, after a grey start. I stripped our bed and got it all out on the line before I went out. Met Em in town a bit earlier than usual - she'd been to a hospital appointment with Dave, who needs a new knee, and he dropped her into town. We walked down to a furniture shop on the Westgate retail park - I am eyeing up new dining tables for the conservatory. Didn't see any there I liked though. We had a bite in M&S and a look round town afterwards.

That accident sounds horrific, those poor people :(

Osc, it took Becky months to get compensation from BA for the cancellation when she flew out at New Year, but she got there eventually. Good luck :!:

*Waves to all* :) xxx
