Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 18 Jul 2024, 05:15

Morning everyone

Warm already and we're in for a couple of really hot days, then back down to normal, then another hot days

I'm heading outside to do a few bits and bobs, whilst it's cool ish (17C at the moment).

Back to do not a lot, although I'm going to have to look for another fridge, as the beer fridge is on it's last legs.

I've persuaded Grumpy it would be a good idea to eat out tonight, so that's what we're doing :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Jan and everyone
Definitely need to get that beer fridge replaced - can't have that not working!!!! :o  :o  :o   And good idea eating out - not nice having to cook when it's so hot.

WFH day for me today - have a personal appointment first thing this morning and then the usual mix of work and pootle. The forecast is promising two amazing warm days (today and tomorrow) so fingers crossed; then as of this weekend it's back to upper teens / low 20's and rain apparently.

Have a lovely day all x

That's my lot for today.

I've watered, put two loads of washing out, cleaned the top and most of the bottom of the pool, after yesterday's twister, dead headed the roses and weeded one of the banks. Oh and made the bed with clean bedding and anointed Grump's knee.

Now I'm leaking

Morning all, it’s sunny and forecast to be a hot one so the fans are out ready.

Bill’s been walked, there are two women who run with dogs most mornings. Two of the dogs are fine, they just run alongside them, but they now have a large Pointer with them and it’s a bit intimidating. It runs ahead and they do nothing to control it. It ran to me and Bill this morning as we walked up the path into the woods as they were running down, it was about 100 yards ahead of them and was running around us barking. I don’t think it’s a nasty dog but still, it could really scare someone.

No plans for today, might drive over to Stafford tonight and have a walk up to the castle. You can see for miles from up there. We had a walk around Stafford last night, both John and Joe were home from work just after 5 (John left early to check on the Halfords man who was replacing the tyres) so we had dinner, walked Bill and it was only 7.30 when we got home and didn’t fancy sitting watching TV for hours so went and got a takeaway coffee and found a bench to sit on in the church grounds.

Hope you manage to get a quick replacement for the fridge Jan, can’t be without the beer fridge for long

Have a good day all :D

Good morning everybody,

It was 18C when I got up with blue sky. Tere are now some clouds but it should stay dry.

Have been to one of the charity shops to take some of my wife's clothes. I get there early so I can park outside the shop using my Blue Badge.

Have some phone calls to make. Then will do some gardening.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning from a gorgeously sunny Birmingham. 8-)

Had a fantastic day and night yesterday. The Spice Club was wonderful.

I've been chatting with sis on WhatsApp since 6am and we're cock-a-hoop with ourselves. :cute:
Think Wonderwoman and her no nonsense sister!

I'll put it on another board.
It shouldn't have happened and the Care (not!!) Home will be reported.
I'll leave it there.

Suffice to say there's going to be one very happy 86 year old lady and sis and I are getting to meet up again next week for two days. :cute: :cute:

Jackie and I are going out for a mooch in a huge Asda.

Out to The Fieldhouse tonight for a meal. :D

Don's looking forward to a day in 42° heat.

Have a great day.

Morning all :D

Starting to brighten and the forecast is dry.

Jan a beer fridge on it's last legs is never a good thing, hope you find a new one.

Jo a loose dog running round me barking would definitely scare me, especially these days. Now that I need a walking stick I'm quite nervous when I see dogs off the lead, it wouldn't take much to knock me over. Okay when it's obvious the owner is in control, but nowadays too many people just don't care.

Posted on the health board about my hospital appointment yesterday.

Shopping day for us, we'll be off to Westwood Cross and M&S in the next hour or so. We're completely out of salad stuff and need a few other bits.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all.
A nice warm morning. Plenty of cloud but bits of blue sky.
Jo, I don't like other people's dogs running around me barking - who would?
Crossword time in a minute then I have to go an pick MrsC up, also book a table for us on Saturday and ring some home improvements firm up. We nne the soffits on our house cleaning (they are filthy) and a couple of other tidying up jobs.
Beer fridge trauma Jan! 42 degrees would do me in I think Ally, poor Don.
Have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Eating out sounds like a plan, Jan :D xx

Amazing warm weather here too Ria :D xx

That's not good Jo, it ought to be under control  xx

Best wishes for that task, Cruiser - not easy xx

Al, I can imagine you and M in the outfits! :D :D xx

Salad sounds like a plan Saundra ;) xx

Hope you get all your bits and pieces Jen xx

Crommers I do the crossword every evening - I like the cryptic ones 8-) xx

It's a glorious day here :D Two lots of washing out, the second almost dry. I'll get the ironing board out in a bit. We've been to Tesco this morning, now Mick's cracking on - hat and sunscreen, and well hydrated - and I'm just pootling 8-) Pilates tonight, but I'm thinking of giving it a miss in this heat - no aircon in St George's church hall ;)
