Good morning.

Dropping a bit to 36°. 8-)

A swim then planning to keep cool by the pool. :D

Footy tonight.

I'll pop in and see my neighbours as they're back home now I'm glad to say.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool and cloudy start  but I can see blue breaking though. We're a lot cooler from now on 8-)

Molly woke me up an hour ago, wanting to go out and then of course, a mozzie came in and I couldn't sleep, so done some washing, that's out on the line and now Grumpy was woken by the moz, so he's gone into the other room. The gizmo he bought obviously doesn't work, killing off mozzies

I have some ironing to do and to finish off the cleaning, then there's footie tonight and salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally & JanB

It is still only 17C here. Lots of grey clouds. It has-been raining. The sun is trying to come out but there are no blue skies yet.

Going to get some shopping this morning.
My son is coming to see me. He is coming by train from Kent.

Have a good day everybody

Good afternoon.
Grey here and none too warm. It is supposed to brighten up later.
I hate mozzies Jan. Enjoy the time with your son Cruiser. Footy tonight here too Ally.
We've had a wine delivery so that's sorted.
M&S are doing a nice Italian red these days called Refosco.
Have a nice day everyone.

Morning all :D

One minute sunny, the next overcast, oh and it's very windy

Don't think I mentioned we're off for an overnight stay in London tomorrow. Ed has an appointment at the RNOH (Royal National Orthopedic Hosp) on Monday morning. It's a 1yr follow up from all his replacements, apparently they want to xray his hips and knee to check everything is in place. Obviously he no longer qualifies for transport as his mobility is good again, luckily it's at the London branch so easier to get to than trekking all the way to Stanmore, but travelling up there in rush hour didn't sound fun. We haven't been anywhere since my ankle op so I suggested we make a treat of it and go a day earlier. I've booked a hotel near Victoria Station and we'll be seeing Wicked (my favourite show) at The Apollo tomorrow afternoon. Afterwards we'll find somewhere for a nice meal and Monday morning after a nice hotel brekkie we'll tube over to Great Portland Street, just 2mins from the hospital. Really looking forward to it.

Bit more washing today, Ed stripped the bed so the sheets are on the go. Will also be getting our bits together ready for the morning. It's only one night away, but it's surprising how much is needed. Ed's going to take his backpack, I bought travel size toiletries so they won't take up a lot of room or weigh too much. We'll make do with what we wear up there so, apart from clean pants, we don't need much else.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone and enjoy your day whatever you have planned.

I'm on the ferry to Dunkirk, fairly strong breeze blowing so it should be a more interesting crossing. I noticed armed police on board when I boarded. That's new.

Evening everyone :)

We’ve been out all day - first to the Quays for breakfast, then round to D’s where we all FaceTime’d with Becky, then our friends invited us for a cuppa and cake at the garden centre in Tewksbury, so we’ve not that long been home. I had a nice evening out with Em and Sarah, our Pilates friend, last night but was shattered when I got home, and slept through a huge storm that woke both Mick and Fraggle :?

It rained all morning, dull most of the afternoon, but has turned into a gloriously sunny evening - as often happens here

Enjoy the trip Jen, and I hope Ed’s follow-ups go well.

Love to all xxx
