That might be because some of those "alternative" sources are worse than "traditional" outlets. X, Faceache, Flip-Flop, Instacrap... come on!

But then again a lot of these illegals ARE NOT coming from persecution/war zones.
They are coming because they know or told that UK is a soft touch and they will get everything given to them.
What about our Veterans who are living rough after risking their lives in many countries.

There is more than just this. I consume climate news from the Guardian but won't tolerate their political view. I get other news across a wide range of news outlets and can compare what is being said.

For me TV news is so politicised it's dead. It's also totally boring, I have to listen to what they want to tell me before I get to hear what I want to hear, if I even do. I cannot imagine sitting there wasting my time listening to a bunch of stuff of zero relevance to me. News is a commodity and I consume what I want of it.

I know it may be hitting my confirmation bias, but at least I don't shout at the TV.
