Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, but the breeze is making it feel cool out there.

Watering to be done after coffee, then we'll head down and get rid of the yuccas. We should have done them yesterday, but were both too knackered after a hard few hours work in the garden. We'll pop down for a coffee at the bar, then back for breakfast. I have ironing and Grumpy has yet more strimming.

I will have to send photographic evidence to Nuno, to pass it on to the court, just so she knows we have complied.

We have friends arriving sometime today, as they travel around Portugal and Spain. Known them for years, both bonkers  and we're out for a meal tonight.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you three and everyone - good morning

Enjoy the day Ally, esp the BBQ this evening
Enjoy the dinner out with your friends Jan - suspect it'll be an evening of lots of laughter!
Cruiser, hope you get all the bits and pieces done you want to

WFH day for me, got a few things I need to sort so I'll be nice and busy between work and pootling. And then have to get to the allotment this evening to get some more weeding done - it's a nightmare at the moment. The weeds and grass are growing like mad; but the veg plants inside the greenhouse aren't and are still too small to go out. It's really been a shocking start to the veg growing season.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s dull.

Bill’s had his walk, the washing machine is on and apart from that it’s going to be an easy day today. Yesterday was such a long day. We left here just after 8am and got home just before Midnight. Train prices were extortionate from local stations when we booked so Joe suggested driving to Watford Junction and traveling by train to Brighton there. Good thing we did really as the 9pm train which we got back from Euston to there would’ve been the one we’d have got to Wolverhampton but it was terminating at Northampton due to a shortage of crew and there would be an hour wait there for the next one and that was only going as far as Birmingham. We’d have been stuck in Birmingham and would’ve had to get John out of bed to come and collect us.
Anyway, in all we had a four hour round trip by car followed by seven trains to Brighton and back for 90 minutes of football, but it was a top day and a lot of fun

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, a bit of a misty start but the sun is working its way through. Edward set off walking to the golf club and sent me a screenshot from his bird app which picked up 7 different birds and that’s without the woodpecker he sometimes hears. Mobility class this morning, then back to do more to prepare the spare room for our visitors arriving Wednesday. I also want to make a batch of soup for the freezer. Usual tidy around before I go out.

Goodness, Jo, that was some day of travelling! Hope you were happy with the result.

Morning all :D

Windy, dull and overcast

Expecting a delivery from Tesco sometime between 12-1pm, but the app says it's only 1 stop away so methinks it will be very early today. Not a problem for us, we're not planning to go anywhere lol

Hope you all have a good day xx

Osc, reading your post about Edward birdwatching. a robin will come down and stand only a few inches away from me when I am gardening.
It has picked up worms and grubs and flown off a few feet before eating them.

It seems to understand that I will not harm it and may provide some food. I do say Hello to it when it comes.

Afternoon everyone :)

A lovely sunny day here! I've been to Swindon with Em - she needed to return something to New Look, and the one in Gloucester has closed. It made a change, anyway :) Mick washed the car and hung out the washing while I was out.

Love to all :) xx

Good evening.
It's been quite a busy day.
We went to get our new glasses from the optician this morning, then I dropped MrsC off in Wakefield to go shopping with our daughter.
I put the car through the car wash, MrsC did some gardening (and talking over the garden fence) and I did a bit of shopping.
We've had a nice beef salad for tea.
Jo, that is some dedication!
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.
