Oh, come on! It's blistering here, a good 9 °C, I have had my mankini and flip-flops on and drinking G%T on the veranda.

Or did I stay indoors well wrapped up with the CH on?

It were one or t'other.

How about this for ridiculous red tape?

Our nephew and his wife have applied for a passport for their new baby, for the trip to Canada in the summer. The application was returned to them, as the person who was counter signature (sic) for the photograph hasn't known Jack for more than two years - he's two months old!

Kaz, it sounds as though they used a standard application form. There is a dedicated one for children and new-born and it can be done online.

See here.

Thought I'd mention it. Last year M got the same with my grandson but his auntie M works for the Home Office so put him right. It's not clear when all you want to do is the right thing.

Molly came back this morning, after a night on the raz, limping

She had something to eat, went to bed for six hours, got up, still limping, more food and is now lying in front of the fire, on one of Grumpy's jackets

I've been able to stroke all her legs and she's not bitten me, so hopefully, nothing too serious.

And have just heard about a break in, locally. Friends of ours too.

Sounds as if they disturbed them when they came home after a dinner out.

Not nice.
