Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 12 Nov 2023, 06:40

Good morning.

It only seems a second ago it was last Sunday and we were going to Edinburgh. The time has absolutely zoomed by. :o

Sis is heading off this morning to Bedfordshire to spend a few days with her son.
We've had the most fantastic magical week together and I'm really going to miss her. :(
But last night we were looking at flights for me to visit her in France in early Spring. :P

I've been invited to have Sunday lunch with a friend which I'm looking forward to. :D

Tonight it's up to the local to meet a group of chums. :D

It won't be a late one as I need to be organised and get packing in the morning for my evening flight tomorrow.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

it's a lovely, sunny morning and we've had a low mist roll in, out, in, out, in and now gone

Outside stuff today, I'd like to get some bushes pulled up on our fence line, from the field next door (not the idiot's, nothing grows on his side   ) and do bit of weeding in a couple of small flower beds.

Then a relaxing afternoon with roast pork for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s raining.

Not much planned today. I’ve got to bake a cake. We can’t think how this happened but during lockdown an old work colleague of John’s, Kenny, used to FaceTime him every Friday lunchtime while John was working from home and for some reason he asked him if I’d bake him a Victoria sponge for next time John saw him. Neither of us can remember how that came about. John thinks that maybe he was eating some home baked cake while talking to him….but I’m pretty sure I didn’t have enough eggs to bake a cake during lockdown
Anyway, John’s seeing him on Thursday night and Kenny’s told him not to forget his Victoria sponge so today’s cake will be a trial one seeing as I’ve not made one for so long!

Joe’s currently running the Weston Park 10k, he’ll be soaked to the skin.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s wet and miserable here. Edward is busy with the plunger in the kitchen as the sink seems to be mostly blocked. We have the coverage from the Cenotaph on in the background, always find it moving, hopefully the police have the area locked down tight. My sister was in London for a few days during the week, she was very pleased she came home on Friday evening. We’re going dancing this afternoon, then back to watch the Strictly results.

Morning all.
Very grey and foggy here. We seem to get one good day, then one bad.
MrsC has gone to the Rememberance service in Streethouse; her great-uncle was killed during the battle of Lys in WW1 and his name is on the war memorial there. Other surnames on that memorial still exist in the village; so the old England isn't quite gone just yet.
This means however that she has left me in charge of the dinner. Is this entirely wise?

This afternoon will be watching the recorded MotoGP race and reading.

Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all :D

Wet, miserable and cold

Much better night, only got up once and then slept through till 10am :o Goodness knows why, but not complaining, we were both so tired yesterday. I told Ed not to do anything fancy for dinner tonight so he got an M&S Cumberland Pie out of the freezer and we'll have that with peas for dinner, easy peasy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Fence line all cleared :Hi: Looks so much better now.

I have backache and blister to prove I've done some work today

Had a wander down the track and walked around our fence line, bordering next door's new field and I'll have to do some work on that, but it will have to wait until the blister has gone and I hopefully, get more energy

Been a lovely day, weather wise, we were both in t-shirts  8-)
