Postby Ally » 04 Oct 2023, 05:05

Good morning.

The late summer heatwave continues. 8-)

A swim mid morning.

Meeting Conor at 6 for a beer and a bite to eat then back home for 9 for him and Don to watch the Celtic game.

I won't stay up too late as I've an early morning flight to attend dad's cousin's funeral.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Just getting light another rather warm day.

Off to Ourique soon, do the supermarkets and then head to Nelson's, to get some stuff for the pool. We couldn't park anywhere near there yesterday and the acid comes in a very large container

Back for breakfast and then the ironing.

Will ring Mitch and meet him at the bar later. He was rather down yesterday, so will try and cheer him up.

Last night's dinner will now be tonight's

Safe journey tomorrow Ally xx

Hello you two, good morning - and same to everyone else

Ally enjoy the day and then the evening with Conor and safe travels for tomorrow morning x
Jan, hope you get all you need; say hi to Mitch

Train strike today so working from home. Admittedly I could go into the office because they do have some services running but they are slower trains than usual that stop at every stop; and given there is no need for me to go in I figured I'd use the strike as an excuse :D . So the usual mix of work and home pootling for me

A nippy start to the morning, and not going above 20 apparently, but warming up towards the weekend which will be nice.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody.

A cool 16c when i got up. When i went for the paper the small Tesco was closed. They have been having a problemwith then door which stuck in the open position.
When i got there the access tothe car park was blocked off and there was a big lorry parked across the entrance. Said it wouldopen in an hour. So could not
get the paper. Went home and had a drink before going to the surgery. I had to pick up a form to take when i go and have another blood test.
Have boked that for next week. Will see the nurse in Novemberto discus the results.
Went to another shop to get the paper. Have had my breakfast. As it is nt raining, I will do some more gardening. Want to pull up some more plants so I can
plant some more crocus bulbs. Thjere are also two Evening Primrose plants which I dont want.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s been all go in this house this morning. I went to get something in the utility room just before breakfast to discover water all over the floor. So washing machine and freezer had to be moved and big towels used to soak up the water. Edward found where the leak was and phoned the plumber only to find he is on holiday in Spain! In fairness to him, he told Edward to take a video of it and send it on and he seems to know what the problem is. He gave us his son’s phone number, also a plumber, I phoned the son and they talked across the two phones, the miracle of modern technology. The son says he will get here as soon as he can.

I’m off to the hairdresser at 12.00, usual cut and colour. I’ve been to the post office to get some money, and also bought milk. Nothing much else planned for the rest of the day, the water is turned off but hopefully we will have it back later today. It’s a nice day, hazy sunshine and warm.

Good afternoon.
It is a nice afternoon now after a grey, cool morning.
We have fitted a new toilet seat today, it's nothing but glamour in this house I can tell you!
Safe travels for tomorrow Ally, I hope Mitch has something to cheer him up soon Jan. Those train strikes must be annoying Ria. Cruiser my wife planted lots of spring bulbs yesterday. Nothing wrong with a lie in Jen!
Osc, I would have been stressed about water everywhere, hope you get it sorted asap.
We are picking Eliza up from school and have our daughter's dog today as well. All the other rellies are working or on holiday.
Have a nice day everyone.

ps I hope Suff is ok, he hasn't posted since a week last Saturday.

It's not looking good Crommers  But the results won't be back for a week or so.

Off down to the bar for pre-birthday drinks :Hi: :Hi:

Afternoon everyone :)

Mick and I went into town together, to get him some new warmer clothes, and to post a birthday card. I also picked a jumper for Em, that she nearly bought on Monday  Popped round to D's to do her passport renewal - gave up as the website kept refusing the photos I took, so we'll get that done in the booth in Sainsbury's tomorrow

Zumba tonight.

Safe travels tomorrow, Ally xx

Osc, what a rude awakening :cute: xx

Love to all :) xx
