Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 05 Sep 2023, 05:32

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 31°. 8-)

The joy of it getting cooler at night means we're down to one fan in the bedroom.

I'll have a quick swim then we're going into Malaga to meet the boys for breakfast. :cute:

Expecting an Amazon delivery late afternoon and Alejandro is popping round with a dozen eggs in exchange for a bag of figs.

Masterchef tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A bit of a lie in this morning, so a later start

Quite cloudy this morning and cool, so great for working outside. 27C and showers forecast.

I'm going to start hacking the lavender down by the fence. Should come up easily because of the rain. Grumpy will be car portering.

I also have some ironing and clothes sorting out to do.

Fry up, by request, for dinner :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you two and everyone

Ally, I'd happily trade you eggs for figs. My little fig tree only delivered a harvest of 10 figs this year. I need to figure out pruning and better feeding me things so I get more next year. Enjoy the breakfast with the boys
Jan, I always laugh how you're pulling up your lavender and here we are in the UK nurturing and tenderly caring for said plant

Not often we here in the UK can say "it's going to be a warm one" - think our temperature today may equal or even beat yours Jan; and tomorrow and Thursday we'll be sitting at Malaga temps :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Working from home today - no client meetings and everyone in the office will be busy with their things so may as well work from here vs sit in the office on my own.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning all, it’s another gorgeous one here. I have so much to do having lost half the day yesterday and out all day tomorrow. I’m meeting a friend at 2pm for a short walk but otherwise it’s “stuff” all day - go to the post office to take out money, ironing, phone the doctor, ironing, do some hoovering, and did I mention ironing  Better get started.

Good morning.
We're having an Indian summer, aren't we? I can stand a bit more of this.
A warm sunny morning here.
We have already been into town to the building society. To take advantage of rising interest rates Ebenezer Crommers has switched money from one account to a new one.
Our appointment was for 9.30 am. We needed two certificates to take with us. Look in the safe this morning - can't find them. Panic.
Look downstairs, can't find them. At this point MrsC rather pointedly remarked that "somebody" had been in the house all day yesterday and could have been looking for them.
Back to the safe - find one.
Five minutes later, find the other certificate - stuck to the back of the first one!
So big rush, but we got there in the end.
We have done the Sainsbury's run. Two beggars there today, covering both enterances!
MrsC is off to see her Uncle Jim this afternoon. Jim went to the funeral yesterday at the crematorium and thought he'd take a short cut by jumping over a fence - he's eighty seven. Of course, he fell over, so MrsC is off to check on the damage today.
Have a good one everybody.

Morning all :D

Loving the sunshine 8-)

Managed to get the garden tidied yesterday, it looks much better, but could really do with a good going over from a 'proper' gardener. Pam our neighbour who lost her husband a few years ago has one coming in regularly, but not only is he expensive, he's not much good either. He doesn't have a clue what any of the plants are and this last week let the young lad who works for him loose on the lavender with a chain saw, it's looks a complete mess now :o Oh and 2hrs cost her £60, definitely not a bargain!!

We're off out to the small Tesco in the next hour or so. Don't need a lot, just a few bits, but mustn't forget to get some rolls so I can give Ed a packed lunch when he goes off for his post op appointment this Thursday. Nothing else happening, expect I'll be in the garden with my kindle this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Daft bugger

Jiggered. Hot and sweaty and just about to jump (well, amble) into the shower.

I've cleared a lot of lavender :Hi: :Hi: and taken it down to where we'll have a fire later this year. Still a lot more to go and we want it all cleared, so we can put some yucca's there. It took it's revenge though, I have several cuts where it got me

Didn't get around to the ironing, but we «'re going down to the bar later, as long as it doesn't rain.

Grumpy has got a lot more done today, on the car-port, so I'm a happy person
