Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 23 Aug 2023, 05:35

Good morning.

Lots of fluffy clouds with a cool westerly breeze.
Oh wait. That was a dream.

The big yellow ball of fire is making its presence felt.

A swim soon then being a pool bum to keep cool for the rest of the day.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Sky looks a little better than yesterday, hopefully the dust is on it's way out.

Another hot day but only 30C on Saturday  Bliss.

We're heading into Ourique early, to do the shopping and to get a couple of things from the chemist, so can't go in as early as I'd like, but hey ho.

Pool when we get back, then breakfast, then the rest of the day is just trying to keep cool.

Will pick up a cooked chicken in Pingo and that will do us for the next couple of nights for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you two and everyone else, good morning

Hope you both manage to stay cool - must say, as much as I complain about the weather here at times, the relentless heat you're both having (esp you Ally) is worse.
Another wfh day for me - making the most of the quiet August days that allow me to mix working and pootling. September promises to be a really busy month so it'll be quite a few days in the office then I think :(
Today will be working, deadheading roses, cutting back a bamboo and 4.30 vet appointment and then home to a glass of something cold!

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning everybody.

It is only 19C here. We have had a few spots of rain but the sun is trying to come out.
Will be finishing the ironing this morning. It is only shirts. Then just pootling. Will have to clean the kitchen window. There is a mark onit when I swatted a fly yesterday.

Alsosome dusting where I can see dust has settled.

Ria, I am getting rid of my roses. They have not been very good this year with only floweres on one stem. Will stick to either perrenials or bedding plants next year.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Had a lovely phone call from my sister, they had just landed in London. We won't see them until 15th Sept, today they're off to Ireland for a tour round, lots of 'must sees' on their list. So glad for them our weather's extra good at the moment.

Up at silly o'clock, I have an appointment at the surgery for a diabetic Hba1c blood test this morning, Planning to stop off at the cliff top for a walk afterwards. Luckily there are lots of benches so if Ed manages further than me, I can sit down and wait for him to walk back 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s lovely and sunny here although I think it is forecast to rain this evening. We had a nice time yesterday evening, Miss Osc invited us for dinner and a post holiday catch up. They had a great time in London, they did so much and Michael and Kellie thoroughly enjoyed it. Kellie’s room now resembles a Harry Potter shop!

I did the bulk of the holiday ironing yesterday, just five more shirts to do. I also need to hand wash a dress. I have a hairdresser appointment at 12.00, and Edward has at 2pm. At the moment he is out on the terrace doing some repair work out there - not from the most recent storm but a previous one. Right, better do the daily tidy around >>>>>>

No problems, sorry for the "dead air" everyone, server issues xx

Take care in the heat, Ally and Jan xxx

Hope the WFH day is going well Ria xxx

That reminds me Osc, I have a top waiting to be handwashed! xxx

Good luck for the blood test, Jen xxx

Afternoon Saundra :) xxx

Enjoy the pootling, Cruiser xxxxxx

It's a warm, sunny day here :) I walked into town early, met J for a cuppa, mooched round the shops for a bit, then walked up to D's to meet Mick. More visitors at D's, Dan, Nikk and Poppy this time - lovely to see them :) Poppy adores Fraggle, so was playing in the garden with him :) My washing is dry - might iron it, might not ;) :D

Love to all xxx

Agree, thank you for sorting us out, have just come back on on line as have been outside most of the day.

Funny how 3C makes such a difference :Hi:

Did everything we needed to do in Ourique, pit stop for coffee and gossip on the way back, pool, breakfast and sorting stuff out.

We actually managed to sit outside this afternoon, rather than sit in the pool with the beers

I have no idea why the Portuguese have to cut a cooked chicken up into about 19 pieces, but I wasn't able to stop the young lad this morning and we spent ages trying to work out what bit was what for dinner

Cool tomorrow, only 38C
