Boomerangs

We had a boomerang as kids, kind of like this one I think from memory. Never ever managed to get the blasted thing to return.

If it comes back it's a boomerang, if it doesn't come back it's a stick.

I have one just like that Weka, it is a genuine aboriginal bought in Northern Oz. The ends are very sharp and I expect quite lethal, it does come back fairly well for me and I expect perfectly for an expert.

Ped, the way the lads were throwing them the other day was counter-intuitive, well it was to my mind. They were thrown vertically, as in the bent bit was over the shoulder of the thrower, but once in flight the boomerang levelled off and back it came. I expected a side arm throw.

That's how we always use to throw it. Ours must have been a stick though. I wonder if I found it again if as an adult I could get I to work. I've got kids now to run after it and bring it back. Does that make I a boomerang?
