Postby Ally » 02 Aug 2023, 05:28

Good morning.

As temps at home aren't going to be less than 39° for the next ten days I'm enjoying the cooler summer here.

A lazy day planned just pootling and relaxing. :D

Masterchef tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Was sunny earlier, nut clouding over now. The clouds are supposed to clear soon and we'll have another lovely day 8-)

Off to Ourique after and early breakfast. Well, early for us ;) Finances, to pay the car tax, Chinese shop, as I need a new cossie, get some money out, chemist and then meet Grumpy in Aldi. Look in the other Chinese for some brushes and another cossie, then Pingo and chemist, in case I couldn't get what I wanted in the first one

Pit stop for coffee and then just see how the day takes us.

Salad for dinner or maybe a bbq, we'll see.

You'll look forward to having a quiet day then Vic? ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all - seriously how is it Wednesday already?

Enjoy the lazy day and the UK 'summer' Ally - admittedly 39° is a tad warmer than comfortable, but seriously the weather here is also less than ideal
Vic, assume an indoor type day for you?
Jan, hope you get everything you want / need. Enjoy dinner whatever you end up having

Another wfh day for me so the usual mix of work and pootle; so not very exciting.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning to you all. I hope your days go as planned re the pootling, doggy sitting, car taxing, WFH-ing and such likes.

It is 12 °C (feels Like: 10 °C) and is lashing down, 15mm of rain is expected before it eases. Later we have a yellow warning for thunderstorms.

Unfortunately I have to go out. First to the bank to do some things that cannot be done online, then it is a trip to the plumber's merchant for some tap washers to fix two dripping taps that both decided to start over the weekend. The plink-plonks are driving me mad.

Have a good day all....

Goodmorning everybody,

It has been lashing down. But it is slowly easing off and brightening up. Just another day of pootling. Amtrying to get rid of things I nolonger need which are in the loft.

Ha another phone call with Virgin last night as I am still having problems. Have finally managed to get an engineer to come to the house. As I have kept sainhg,
I am not a computer expert and need someone at the side of me to show me what to do.
Have sent another letter of complaint. Be interesting to see what the reply is.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a miserable wet day here, so fed up with it. Today myself and my sister were supposed to be going to a shopping outlet in Co Kildare, she is looking for accessories to go with the dress she is wearing to a wedding next month. However, I hurt my ankle yesterday, went over on the side of a wedge flip flop and it’s rather sore and a bit swollen, and I didn’t want to risk doing a lot of walking. It is no worse than yesterday, so I have rubbed in plenty of arnica cream and have it strapped up. Now I have an unexpected day at home, I might do the ironing as we will be out all day tomorrow, down in Wicklow for the annual Family Scramble golf competition - the only day in the year when we have to put up with the other grandad ;) I’m happy enough to be at home on such a miserable day as the shopping outlet is not indoors. Edward is making a banana cake of some sort, a recipe he wanted to try. I also want to buy a bottle of nice wine online to be sent to my niece’s husband who will be 50 at the weekend. General tidy around first.

Morning all :D

One minute rain, the next bright sunshine, it can't make up it's mind :?

Ed's very happy, he's had his first shower for 2 weeks, thought he would never come out  He did use the perching stool, but I think he'll be managing without by the weekend.

No rushing about for me, I've got towels in the washing machine, but that's about it. Intend to have a very lazy afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx
