And wave those sovereign flags.

The UK has just signed up to some letter salad acronym miles away - CTPAPPCDMRTBETA , or whatever. It has joined an £11tn trade block (£3tn of ours inc btw) of 500 million people and is worth 0.8% of our GDP. £1,8bn over ten years. We already have trade deals with nine of the 11 members, only the big hitters of Brunei and Malaysia (0.5% of the trade) are out, but, hey, it's a great deal.

Some large towns in the UK have a bigger GDP, maybe we should do trade deals with them?

However, we have swapped this deal for a 500 million person trade block just 21 miles away, and that has cost us a 4% drop in GDP due to Breakshit. Net-zero, eh?

I did economics as part of my access course to university and I do not remember any of the experts in that pseudo science claiming that those maths were beneficial.

And here's the good bit. We had to put up with 45 odd years of the Berkshit's lies, myths and legends about the EEC / EU. Well now it's our turn, chums. What's the saying; "Suck it up"? Tick-tock. 44 years to go.... ;)

And there was a plan when we joined the EEC? There was a host of documented charts which would "guarantee" our increased trade?

In fact we suffered badly from West German trade imbalances and a very different export market than we had been used to in the commonwealth.

So we have written a new trade deal with a block of countries which are close to, but not yet as large as, the EU in size.

Now we need to leverage it. Will the press ever come back and show how much that trade deal is worth in 10 years??? Of course not. Negative, negative negative.

Personally I'm still waiting for the collapse of the UK economy, the £ to drop below parity with the $ and for cats and dogs to start living together in peace. Just as we were told it would if we did something so stuipid.
