Good morning Monday

Good morning.

A week of severe heat awaits us. :o

I'll be doing as little as possible except keeping cool and lying low with a book. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally,

The thermometer says it is 21C. I keepit i the shade in the kitchen away from direct sunlight.

The sun is out but there are a few clouds. No rain forecast for here today.. Will be doing some housework and making some phone calls.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone#

Lovely, cool morning, but that will soon change

Been out and about in the garden and Grumpy is now cleaning the car.

We-re down to the Algarve this afternoon, to see the eye surgeon, hopefully for the last time. at 80 euros a pop, it-s getting quite expensive. That-s each

Back to the bar for a beer or three, then salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, it’s mostly wet here although I have seen a few small bits of blue sky. Edward and his pals have cancelled their golf as rain and thunder are forecast for most of the day. I washed towels last night so they will have to go in the dryer. My main job today is ironing, there is not a lot so I’ll get through it quickly - I’ve got into the habit of listening to podcasts when ironing, it helps the time pass by. Otherwise I need to go to the chemist, I forgot to get one of my prescriptions the other day. I have a couple of letters to drop to Miss Osc’s office and we need milk. That’ll be my outing for the day

Morning all :)

It’s cool here, and rain forecast. I’m going with Mick to a hospital appointment that his dentist referred him to, about 18 months ago! He has a tiny white patch on his gum that is almost certainly caused by his medication but they want to be sure, so he’s having a biopsy. Just a local anaesthetic, apparently quite quick and relatively painless. Rather him than me though :?

Meeting Em in town later, I need to return a bra I bought online from M&S as I accidentally clicked on the wrong band size :cute:

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all, it’s grey after a beautiful start.

Joe and Amanda both left before 6am, Manda to the station and Joe to East Midlands airport. He’s off to Kavos until Friday with a couple of friends and Manda’s off to Paris and Disney until Friday with the girlfriend of one of the lads. She’s just texted me that they’re on the Eurostar in St Pancras, they had a pretty short time between arriving in Euston and check in closing at St Pancras so I’m relieved that they made it in good time.

Bill had an early walk and I’ve since hoovered through, cut the lawns, stripped and made up Joe’s bed and that’s now washed and on the line. Not sure how long it’ll stay out there for though as rain’s forecast soon.

18 months Kaz! Hope all goes well x

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Sunshine 8-)

Doing very little and staying cool sounds a good plan Ally.
Cruiser our temperature control is in the hall (very shaded) and is saying 24.5 this morning.
Good luck with the eye surgeon Jan.
Osc, ironing
Kaz hope all goes well for Mick, sounds ghastly!

Not much happening here today, expecting a Tesco delivery this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
Cloudy and warmish atm.
Yes, rather Mick than me!
Jo, MrsC and I went to Kavos in 1982; there was virtualy nothing there.I gather it's changed a bit!
We've had our wine delivery, got a paper and been to collect prescriptions. After that nothing happens today.
Have a good day everyone.

Hello all and good evening

well here I am back home after an amazing 10 days in Turkey. Alas as those of you who are on FB saw the return journey was a bit of a disaster, what with our first flight early Sunday morning cancelled and then the second one this morning delayed, but here we are back home and very happy to be here. Turkey was amazing but this coming week the temperatures are set to be darn high - high 30's / low 40's which even for me is a tad on the warm side :D Local people were saying how unusually hot, dry and windy it is for this time of year. WiFi unfortunately was very hit and miss with it being more miss than hit so I wasn't online much at all - quite liberating really

Kaz, hope all went well for Mick today - fingers crossed xx

Hope everyone else is doing well and keeping fit an healthy - will ready my way through the boards xxx

Glad you finally got home Ria xxx

Thanks for asking, everyone :) He's fine - we waited ages in the waiting room, but once he was called in it only took about 10 minutes :) He's had ibuprofen and has to gargle with salt water for a couple of days.I

The carpet guy has been, and we've chosen one :) I've popped it on my living room thread on the Homes board, if anyone wants to see.
