Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 28 Jun 2023, 04:18

Good morning.

I'm still buzzing from yesterday.

The whole day went like an absolute dream. To see a band live on stage that you've liked for more than 30 years, especially after the cancellation last year, was amazing.
Up till now Bruce Springsteen had been my favourite concert ever but Guns N' Roses smashed it out the park. 8-) 8-)

I've got another full on day today.

Getting the 8.54 train into Glasgow to meet Amy and walk to the Modern Gallery for our 10am slot at the Banksy exhibition. :cute:

We'll do some wandering after that then head to the Horseshoe Bar for lunch. :D

Down towards the Clyde next sightseeing and just enjoying wonderful Glasgow. :D

Back to the train station 5ish, Amy going home to Strathaven and for me to meet seven friends getting off their train at 5.30.

A cocktail first then on to our booked escape room.

Dinner at the World Buffet (providing we've escaped  ) then the train back to Bellshill to pile into their local for a few beers. :D

I'll say my goodbyes as I'm leaving here tomorrow morning.

There's been a theme on this visit.

Gallivanting. Monday out from 9am till 9pm.

Yesterday out 1pm till 1am.

Today's record will be broken as I'll be out 9am till probably midnight.

I think I'll be putting my feet up on Friday.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Pleasantly cool at the moment, but warming up soon.

Another full on day Ally, enjoy :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: xx

I've taken my two black eyes for a wander and watered all the small plants. Moved a couple of pots with tomatoes in, as too much heat.

We have a weird sky, smoke from the huge fire in Canada and dust from the Sahara

Off to Castro Verde this morning, as we have to transfer money to Joquim for the car. It can be done on-line, but I really don't trust my internet connection, so we'll pop into the bank, get them to do it and have a breakfast toastie in a rather good cafe there..

Back to Ourique to sort out the insurance and I'll just have a quiet day. Grumpy has to sort out the car port, as two cars just don't fit

Meeting Mitchell down at the bar later and salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

Ally, How do you keep going?

I am going totown to buy two cards. One is for grand-daughter. She has got promoted ion her job. Will send her some money. She is off to Canada on holiday so will
not get it until she comes home.

The other is for a neighbour who lives opposite. He is in hospital. His wife came across on Monday evening to tell me he has cancer of the lung. It is stage 4
and there is nothing they can do. He is 84 so it is not good news. His family live locally.

Will then be just pootling.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all.
Looks a bit warmer out there today.
Shortly we're off to Ponte, it's market day.
Ally, you will need to put to put your feet up after all that!
Jan that's a sensible way to do the transfer.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Cloudy, but still very warm.

Another busy day for you Ally.
Bet you can't wait for a ride in the new car Jan.
Well done to your granddaughter on her promotion Cruiser.

E had a call from the RNOH yesterday afternoon to say they have a cancellation and would he like to have his op a week earlier. Absolutely yes, but we now have to wait to see if that's okay with his surgeon and if there's a bed. Fingers tightly crossed.

Happy to say I slept better last night. No plans for today, a few things around the house to do and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s dull, cooler and inclined to rain here. My brother took us out for breakfast, my sister joined us and it was delicious. We had a nice time yesterday, ate in a local restaurant where we had not eaten before and it was very good, we’ll definitely go there again. Then, instead of having dessert we strolled to a nearby icecream shop, got icecream and sat on a bench to eat them. Sister went home, and ourselves and my brother came back here, watched some telly and went to bed. Brother has gone off on the bus now to get his train home to Cork. Edward and Michael are supposed to be playing golf this afternoon, weather permitting, so we’ll collect Michael and I’ll drop the two of them to the club. Otherwise no plan for the rest of the day.
