Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 03 Jun 2023, 05:42

Good morning.

Sunny and a warmish 29° forecast. 8-)

After a mid morning swim I'm going to spend the day lazing and reading by the pool. I've got a couple of things to catch up on iPlayer so I'll be clutching my tablet.

Plenty of footy so Don will be happy indoors. :D

Chinese takeaway tonight and we're going to binge watch Steeltown Murders.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Foggy  Rain and thunderstorms forecast again for this afternoon

Grumpy still suffering quite badly with hayfever, mine seems to have gone. Hopefully, we-ll be able to get some honey from Fernando soon.

Will finish off the cleaning this morning, got side tracked yesterday   and supposed to be meeting friends down the bar this afternoon. Not in monsoon rain, we won-t ;)

Marinating a pork loin for tomorrow and that-s about my lot.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all :)

29° sounds nice Al, although we've got a nice, sunny weekend forecast here too 8-) :) xxx

Welcome back, Cruiser :) xx

Poor Grumpy, hope he's better soon Jan xx

We're doing our usual Saturday stuff here - brunch outside Corretto's, round to D's afterwards. One of our nephews is coming up from Somerset, he's bringing his tree-surgery gear with him, as D's trees need cutting back. He does tree-surgery as a sideline between stints in the Marine Reserves and teaching Mandarin, at a private school. Lovely lad.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all from Joe’s car on the sunny M40 near Warwick as we head to Wembley. Not expecting to win but just happy with the season we’ve had, and happy to be going with Joe. Doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since I took him to his first game, aged 4, and he cried when we scored because the crowd noise shocked him

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Nice and bright, but still a tad chilly.

More washing for me today, this time sheets and towels. The machine has been working overtime since we got back. Luckily the drain's still behaving. No other plans, hoping to rest my ankle and relax on the sofa with my kindle this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good luck Jo! Yes, the years really fly by.
Resting the ankle is the right thing to do Jen.

Afternoon all, it’s a glorious day here. I started posting three hours ago, then Edward said he was going for a walk so off we went. A beautiful walk through the woods and over the closed down golf course. Then a stop for coffee and pastry at the cafe beside the still open part of the golf course with fabulous views. We walked back past the reservoir, and as we got back to the town we walked past an old cottage that has been beautifully restored, the people who own it were outside, so we told them how much we like their house, ended up having a lovely chat with them and even getting a tour of the house. Just had lunch now and I’m going to sit in the sun with my book for a while before getting on with some of the holiday to-do list.

I have had two hours in the the sun. Used one of the loungers Audrey bought. It is very comfortable. Even has a litle pouch for a cup. I put my sunglascase in it.
I got covers mde for the long cushions. I can now hang them in the garage. Means they are dust proof and not lyingon the floor.
