Our GP surgery have just posted their appointment stats for April.
4911 appointments were booked and out of that they had 214 people not show up who hadn’t bothered to cancel

I'd like to see some statistics as to how many people attending appointments were still left hanging around in the waiting room for (say) at least 15 minutes after the stated time .....

In other news, Hednesford Town FC have gone to the wall, Jo, proposed takeover of the club collapsed. I suspect there's a fair chance all that land will go for housing soon.

Ossie, one day you might need that bit of extra time my friend.

I know its annoying but as someone who once spent 30 mins of a 10 minute appointment crying, and had a GP who had all the time in the world, I will always accept that humans are humans and sometimes sh1t happens

As for the DNA's imagine how many they're used to be when you could book in advance???? At least on the day booking has reduced it

Ossie, I’d heard that the previous/current/whatever owner had created two separate companies, one for the footballing side of the business and another for the ground so there have been rumours for a while now that the ground would be sold for housing. When Keys Park was built there wasn’t much around there but in the years following there have been some large warehouses and units built on one part and housing on another, some of which is actually surrounding the stadium and as close as 15 yards from the stands.

Well, that was different.

Went to one of our favourite restaurants and I ordered the black pork secretos. Little bit fatty, but the flavour is lush. Grumpy had the house steak.

Daniella said that we would have the new summer saladas and could we please comment.

Well, I'd eat that salad and bugger the meat. It was lovely :Hi: Small amount of lettuce, some baby figs, teeny bits of orange, a little tomato, a little onion and very thin slices of unpickled beetroot. I ate the lot

I also had a slice of pineapple, with a little cinnamon on the edge, chunks of orange and a slice of lemon, with a sprig of rosemary with the meat.

I've put it one trip advisor, really impressed.

Bread, olives, all of the above, half a litre of wine and an expresso each.

That's fair comment, MM - point taken.

Sounds lovely, Jan! :Hi:

Jo, yes, it all seems very murky. I've seen comment that backalong, when Keys Park was first developed, it was a condition that it would become much more of a sporting hub, including a full-size pitch for Cannock Hockey Club. None of that ever materialised. If it had, things might be a bit different today.
I always enjoyed watching games there when we lived up in Brum.
And Heath Hayes FC, just down the road, has folded as well. That was another lovely little ground.
