Went to use my cleaner yesterday
Filled it up with water and then found the upper handle was broken it did fall over not very stable
So used my mope much better

Mrs S has hand held steam cleaners for stubborn stuff. But you do have to "clean" first.

We have a petrol mower but I'm trying to get Mrs S to buy a ryobi battery one. I have 6 ryobi tools for which I have 8 batteries and this would just add to the set. It also means that if the two batteries do run down (it runs on both at the same time), we can simply lift two off my drills and finish the cut.

Mrs S can't start the mower after the winter. I keep telling her what to do and she keeps reading the instructions printed on it and failing to start it. 12x pushes on the red button after the winter (not 4) and repeat until the thing idles easily. Seems it is too hard to remember. Or perhaps it is because I said it so it is worth ignoring. After all she was a teacher, the written word is mightier than a trained mechanic's knowledge....

Electric start mowers are rare and ridiculously expensive to buy. Then the battery has to be taken out for the winter and carefully charged before use. Seems to me that my Ryobi batteries are far easier. Simply plug them in the same chargers used for the drill batteries, take them out of the charger and plug into the mower, press and go.

I'll have another go at her whilst I'm home this week. They have a smaller 38cm mower in this time. Easy for her to get down the steps to the lower grass. Price is ~400 which I think is acceptable.

My mower is from Worx (https://www.amazon.co.uk/WORX-Cordless- ... 21X1E0I1WK); so not as posh as your Ryobi; but same principle; same batteries for mower, hedge trimmer and strimmer so when the two in use run flat I use the next load of two and get the others charged in the meantime. It's super lightweight and lovely to use
