Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 11 Apr 2023, 05:52

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 30°. Yesterday got incredibly hot it felt like one of those dead heat days we get in August.

Will do my walk shortly, have a swim late morning then seek shade under a palm tree and read.

Masterchef tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Rather gloomy and grey at the moment and can't see the Algarve hills  Sun and 28C for us.

Tree planting morning :Hi: One of the trees we bought is flourishing in the garden, the other two looked like dead twigs   but now look strong enough to go out into the big wild world that is our garden. I know where one will go, just have to have a think about the other.

Then ironing

Into Ourique this afternoon, for our conversation.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

hello and good morning all - greetings from the house that looks like it's been burgled; jeez the mess even surpasses what my niece could achieve    But hopefully as of today it'll be no more dirty work for the bathroom and if anything the boxes in the house will start disappearing as their contents are installed in the new bathroom. Underfloor heating went in yesterday and today Karl will be laying the floor tiles and hopefully getting the shower tray in situ as well.

Kaz, Amelia just had that cold, it really is horrid - about two / three days of really sore throat and feeling really grotty, but yesterday she started feeling a bit better just losing her voice or being very croaky. Hope you feel better very soon; take it easy and make sure you stay hydrated x

Ally and Jan, that's really warm for this time of year isn't it - even for where you are? Wowzer
Jan remind me what trees you've got - are they all fruit trees?

Well today is meant to be the usual mix of work from home / work from somwhere that has a loo    . I'll be heading over to Karl and Nadine's a bit later for a shower. Thankfully work is still relatively quiet although lots to catch up on.

have a lovely day all x

Morning all.well got up this morning to find that there isn't any water!!!
Massive area affected.
Water board stays computer controlled valve has failed, working on the problem hope to be back on soon.
At least they keep posting on fb with updates.
Luckily we do keep a few bottles in house.
Wonder how hospitals manage ?

Good morning.
Sunny here, blue skies and fluffy clouds. They are moving quite fast though, so the weather could change.
Off to the shops soon for some beef for a stew.
kaz, that sounds nasty, hope it improves soon.
Vic, I hope your water is back on pronto.
Have a good day all.

Water was back about 10.00
So not too bad ,but the local cafes which do well for breakfasts must have lost a few bob I would imagine.
Compo claim for them?

Morning all, it’s dull and cold here. I started posting ages ago but between phone calls and WhatsApp, I’ve only got back now. My friend L is over from Boston so we were trying to organise a lunch or dinner - we confirmed a day that suits the two of us but one of the other friends lives a very busy life, and the other is very untechy, takes ages (like days, sometimes) to respond to texts or phone messages and doesn’t even have a smart phone, so organising a meet up can be difficult. Then Miss Osc phoned asking us to do something particular with the children on Thursday so we had a chat as well. I have bathrooms to clean and ironing to do so better get on!
