who has started their veggie patch / greenhouse growing

I bought some tomato plants a few weeks back but not transplanted them into their larger pots yet - need to get that done this coming weekend. But I haven't even thought about buying much else as I'm not sure the weather will play along. Because despite being in a greenhouse last year was quite cool and things never warmed up properly I don't think

How much / what have you done so far?

Apart from spraying the robinia to try to stop leaf-cutter beetles chomping what remains of it, nothing yet.

I mean, the three pots of hyacinths wot I lovingly tended and tried to force into flower for Christmas have only just started to bloom! I'm a long way off thinking about the greenhouse yet!

Our polytunnel was squashed flat in the last round of snow and we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet so I don't think we will be growing much from seed in there this year, including tomatoes.

I have at last planted potatoes, onions, carrots and lettuce in the allotment. I was intending on going there this evening - if it ever stops raining!

We have ordered lots of veggie plug plants this year rather than putting extra stress on ourselves by trying to fix the polytunnel and get things growing in there. We will also visit car boot sales for other bits and pieces.

I've got some tomato plants that have self grown in the garden from the compost I think. I've pulled one out and have potted it up. I'm going to experiment with growing I inside this winter, but I'd say our daylight hours will be the limiting factor.

I've got peas, silverbeet, spinach, cabbages, broccoli and cos lettuce growing. A couple of other plants that have self grown that could be either pumpkin, zucchini or cucumber. I'm eagerly awaiting to see if the do anything.

Somewhere in the garden is carrots, but I've forgotten where I planted them, so to the onions. I've got a rough idea where the leaks and spring onions are, but the weeds are winning on the growing front and the wanted plants are getting harder to find.
