Good morning.

Lovely again. 8-)

Going for a coastal walk with Don. :D

Reading and relaxing for the rest of the day. Well deserved after what will be a 16km walk.

Last night's lentil bolognese was absolutely delicious. We'll be having it again soon. :cute:

Have a great day.

Small pile of ironing to get through this morning and then off to Beja this afternoon. I had a text on Friday, giving me an appointment with the surgeon for this afternoon, so hopefully, will get a date or an approximate one at least. Then straight to Sonia's, for our hour of conversation :D

Good morning.
Definitely milder here today.

Kaz, one of the warmest places in the UK yesterday was Stornoway in the north of Scotland! What's all that about?
Cruiser, that's a decent rate of interest.

We need some new towels, a few bits and bobs of food and we have a wine delivery coming between 1 and 2pm
It's surprising how DHL can be so precise and reliable whilst a firm like Evri have such a bad name.

Have a good day all.

hello and good morning everyone

Ally hope the walk was fun - enjoy the chill time later today. What did you put into your bolognaise as a matter of interest (besides lentils that is  )
Jan, -1 on Monday? That is very cold given you have no central heating. Hope you have plenty wood right by the fireplaces!
Cruiser, that is a good rate - nice one! Fingers crossed for your blood tests
Enjoy the brunch Kaz.
Ooooh, wine delivery Crommers - now that is my kind of delivery :D  :D

Definitely not as cold today as has been. Yesterday morning the car was showing -6 as I was driving to the station; this morning it was a balmy 3 and no ice on the windscreen to be scraped off - what a pleasure. Another day in the office for me with quite a few client meetings and lunches etc so nice and busy. I had to leave early yesterday to get new wiper blades for the car - what a difference and definitely something that should be replaced more often than one realises

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Another grey day

Hope you get a date Jan.

We're popping out to the small Tesco before lunch, need fresh veg and fruit. Our lovely big greengrocer closed because of lockdown and has never reopened. We do have a small one, but they don't carry anywhere near as much as the big one did, shame really as we used it a lot.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all, it is lovely and sunny here and temperature is just under 10 degrees with some real warmth in the sun. We were expecting a guy to come and service the gas fire and he was here quite early, which was great. It had never been serviced since it was installed eight years ago - we don’t use it a whole lot but it was always slow to come on. Turns out that apart from some component that was on its last legs, the remote control was faulty  All fixed now, not cheap :? While the guy was here, I did some dusting and polishing and cleaned down the kitchen counters - I told him he should come here more often

Then Edward went to get a bus to the golf club which never came, so I drove him over. When I came back, I hoovered the stairs and I might clean our bathroom - I must be sickening for something! Shortly I’ll take the car to the car wash, it’s absolutely filthy, then I’ll pop into the supermarket on my way home for a few bits that Tesco didn’t have last week.

By heck, it's cold out there  :o

Saw the surgeon this afternoon and it is going to be, apparently, a very complicated operation and it might impact on part of the bowel, and certainly will on part of the intestine :o

But we're going ahead with it. So made appointments to see the anesthetist and before I see him/her, to have an ecg, thorax and bloods done. All will be sorted out on 24 February, so I guess to top will be soon after that.

We were at Sonia's a little early, but had a cup of coffee before we started and then had a couple of beers afterwards

<think I'll be pinching the blanket from the spare room for tonight
