Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 30 Dec 2022, 06:04

Good morning.

Forecast 21° and sunny. 8-)

Off for a walk with Don to Guadalmar this morning. It takes in forest, lots of different species of birds and the beach. It's lovely. :?

Nipping into Mercadona on the way home to stock up for New Year.

Conor's coming over late afternoon and will join us tonight for Friday beers and tapas. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but with a brisk breeze this morning. Another warm day 8-)

Much better sleep last night :Hi: Only woke up at 2.00, to feed the cat  and then again at 7.15, but thought it was too early, so back to sleep :Hi: The night before, I woke up at 2.45 and that was it :o

Bit of a clean this morning, wafting the feather duster around, vac and mop the floor.

Will head outside, once it's warmed up, to do yet more stuff. Cover the young fruit trees and other things that need it, Going down to 4 or 5 at night next week

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s damp here but I think it is going to improve. Edward and Michael are going to play golf, and Miss Osc, Kellie and I will go for a walk - SIL had a nasty tummy bug the last couple of days and is still recovering. Tesco delivery this afternoon and that’s our day.

Good morning all.
Agrey day today. The funeral yesterday went as well as these things can. At the reception afterwards two sisters who hadn't spoken for two years get talking again, which was nice. One of MrsC's cousins had come over from Canada. Violet was a well loved woman and it showed in the turnout. Some staff from her care home attended.
MrsC has gone off with our son and her sister for a day shopping at the Meadowhall Centre in Sheffield (aka Meadowhell). She is looking for a nice pair of winter boots.
So I will have the afternoon more or less at leisure.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone :)

Enjoy your walk Al :) xx

Glad you slept well Jan :D xx

That sounds rotten for your SIL, Osc, I hope he's fully recovered soon xx

Glad things went ok yesterday Crommers. Meadowhell!?  xx

Well I'm the walking wounded. I was putting away a Christmas Yankee Candle, on a high storage shelf in my utility, when the (heavy) glass stopper fell off, onto my upturned forehead! :o I thought it was properly fastened, but clearly not! I have a bump but seem to be otherwise unscathed :? Good job I have a thick skull, eh? No plans much for today, the washing machine is on but that's about it.

Love to all xxx

Morning all :)

Wet and windy

Enjoy your walk Ally.
Glad you had a better night Jan.
Hope your SIL feels better soon Osc.
Glad the funeral went well Crommers. Enjoy your leisurely afternoon.
Ouch Kaz, hope it's not too sore.

We've had a nice lie in, definitely needed after yesterday's early start. The pre assessment went well, I thought it would be a tick box exercise, but no it was the full works, ECG, blood test and so on. The nurse seemed to think the wait wouldn't be as long as Mr Mostofi thinks, apparently they're steaming through the lists right now, I'm not holding my breath, what with the nurses strikes etc things could easily slow down again. I don't anticipate it being a problem, but I've given them my Barbados dates just to keep them informed. I'll be in a plaster/boot for at least 3mths so it definitely can't happen before we go away.

Wash day and bed change, that's enough, absolutely nothing else planned.

Hope you all have a good day xx

That was pleasant afternoon.

After a phone call from Rita, they picked us up and we went down to the bar. Their son is with them for another week, so very nice to meet him.

Lovely and warm again, and yet again, that ice plant trapped a foot and shoe and I fell over

Made a keema curry for tomorrow. I got the recipe from that lovely lady who used to be on the DM and then here for a while, can't remember her name.
