Good Morning Saturday

Morning everyone

A beautiful morning. Lots of sun and blue sky 8-)

Woken at six by dogs barking

Not the normal one's though. He was out in the dark, with his miner's lamp on his head and then heading off down the track in one of his vehicles. We could hear it and the dogs were constantly barking, until Lesley took them back inside.

Weird.

Will be having a wander with my trusty digger and bucket after breakfast, weeding.

Meeting friends down at the bar later :D

Hope Ally got away safely x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan.
You could write a book about your neighbour.
A foul morning here, grey with a constant drizzle.
MrsC is going to a kid's party later, I'm not!
A lazy day today I think. I'll get myself a pizza and stream First Dates tonight.
It isn't really a day to be out and about if you don't have to be.
Have a good one everybody.

Afternoon all, late on parade today. We were up at the usual time and after breakfast, the first priority was for Edward to install a new extractor fan as our other one died. Luckily we were able to get the same model, it’s telescopic and was quite fiddly to put in. The screws were in awkward places and it doesn’t help that Edward is having increasing problems with arthritis in his hands, but with me in a supporting role (ie holding the fan up in place while he screwed it in place) we got the job done. Now he is making mincemeat, so I had to go to the shops to get cooking apples. That proved expensive though, as the deli had lovely Christmas food bits, so some ended up in the shopping basket too, and I also got some hyacinths - Kellie was asking what they were when we were walking past the other day, so I thought it would be nice for her to see how they progress between now and Christmas. I had a chat with some people while I was out too.

I want to iron some bedding and then this afternoon, I plan to write Christmas cards and also wrap the presents for my Cork grand niece and nephews. Edward doesn’t know but I have just ordered him some lovely cuff links, I hardly ever see anything that I think is perfect for him, but these hit the spot, expensive and he is worth it ;) https://alanardiff.com/shop/sail-away-cufflinks. Please ignore the price, hopefully they will be an heirloom to pass on to Michael. Incidentally, the same Michael is 13 today  how did that happen!

Morning all......almost  :D

Dull and overcast

Sorry you're still having trouble with the dogs barking Jan.
I think I'd give the childrens party a miss too Crommers.
Enjoy the brunch Kaz.
Love the cufflinks Osc, I bet he will be thrilled with them. Happy Birthday to Michael.
Glad you've had a nice time with your granddaughter Cruiser.

Our water was back on late afternoon yesterday, apparently it was a burst pipe caused by the heavy rain we've had!! So today I'm catching up with the washing that didn't get done, that plus the bed change is more than enough to keep me busy. Of course it would have helped if I'd got started earlier, but we slept in till 10.45 :o Brekkie is becoming lunch and we're into the afternoon already.

Strictly and Sleb tonight, more bliss.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Very nice Osc and I don't think they're too expensive, for something to be passed on.

Happy Birthday to the teenager :Hi: :Hi:

We have sun and clouds. When the sun comes out, it is really hot and the jacket comes off. Then the clouds hide the sun and the jacket gets put back on

Two very large buckets of weeds for the donkeys and all is quiet again. No idea what he was doing, walking around at that time of the morning

Glad you had a good time with your granddaughter Cruiser x

I've done enough for the day and will be reading and playing cards 8-)

Edited to add: we'll be lighting the fire tonight, going down to single figures for the first time
