I despair at people who say my heating isent going on
This winter because I grew up with ice on the window in the 40/50 /60
Well yes so did I but I was 70/75 years younger
If I'm still paying the bill next summer so be it

Well said Saundra.

We used to do baby footprints up the frosted windows. Clench your fist and put the little finger side on the window for the foot, then, with your finger, put in the 'toes'. Walk them up the window. Great fun... then get dressed, have brekkie, and go to school - don't forget to brush your teeth.

Too right Saundra! Another here who grew up with only one coal fire to heat the whole house - we shouldn’t be going back to those days! As soon as it’s cold enough, mine is going on - I think we’re a bit warmer down here in SW than Yorkshire ((((x))))

I try to follow the old RAF rules. Heating goes off on April the 1st and does not come back till Oct the 1st.

It feels like it is going to be needed this evening for a while.

The kiddlywinks flight home has just taken off, over an hour late

So it will be about 2.00 am before they get home.

Tracy took tomorrow off, but for the rest, it's back to work tomorrow. Although as Shaun said, turn the computer off, for ten minutes, catch up on a doze

Grumpy dared me to call them kiddlywinks - ages from 55 to 23 - so of course, that's just what I did.

As Shaun said, we always knew you were weird

Such a compliment - my daughter tells me I'm mildly eccentric.
