Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 28 Sep 2022, 05:30

Good morning.

Checking in here keeps me on track as to what day it is.

30° forecast today but I've double checked and it's definitely dropping tomorrow to 28. :cute:

An early swim first then get ready to walk into town to the post office and primor.

Out tonight for an Indian meal with some friends who are off to Peru on Saturday. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but chilly still.

Today is family day :Hi: All being well, will arrive this afternoon and I won't be around too much over the next few days.

Last minute shopping this morning and last minute cleaning. Then pack our stuff up and take it down to our new abode 8-) We'll be meeting them at the bar, just in case they forget how to get here

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all.

Up early with this painful leg. Beautiful at present, with cloudless skies, but only 6 °C.

A quiet day is on the cards. Might do a bit of cleaning, but might not, it depends.

Enjoy your day.

Morning all, it’s brightening up now after a very foggy start.

Thought I was going to have to go on a Bill hunt on our walk. We were heading home when he caught the scent of something, either a fox or deer I think, and he took off through the some woods in the opposite direction to home, I followed on the main path and could see him weaving through the trees with his nose to the ground. He then ran out of there and across the path and onto the common, I followed but couldn’t see where he was due to the fog and the fact he’d just run. He came running back after a few minutes but his body language told me that he hadn’t given up and wanted me to go back in the direction he’d just come from, he refused to move  Had to coax him back with the promise of a bit of chicken when we got home :P

No plans today so I’m going to start by watching the last couple of episodes of Daisy May Cooper’s new series.

If it doesn’t rain and the grass dries I’ll cut the lawns later.

John will be back from Sunderland later tonight, Joe’s at Amanda’s after work so it’ll just be me and Tom for dinner.

Have a good day all :D

I’m waiting for my friend J in Coffee#1 She’s a bit late so I’m wondering if she’s remembered that we’re supposed to be meeting here and not in M&S :? Will give it five minutes then ring her.

Morning all, it’s fairly sunny here but only about 10 degrees out there brrrr. Edward is feeling much better today, he was unwell all day yesterday and wasn’t able to go to the Ireland -v- Armenia match. However one of Michael’s friends went instead and they all enjoyed it. I have a routine dental appointment at 12pm, and otherwise I’ll be doing the housey stuff that I didn’t do yesterday. Edward is talking about maybe tidying up the attic a bit this afternoon, which would be good.

Jan, I’m sure you are really excited and I hope you have a lovely time with your family.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Enjoy your Indian meal Ally, one of my favourites.
Safe journey to your family Jan, how exciting, have a wonderful family time.
Sensible to take it easy WM x
Saundra's idea about using a bell sounds a good idea Jo.
Hope your friend shows up Kaz.
Glad Edward is feeling better Osc, good luck at the dentist.

We're off out for our usual walk in the next hour or so, the temperature has definitely dropped so I think we'll need our hoodies today. No doubt we'll stop at the Pavilion for a light lunch when we reach the harbour, I need at least 30mins sit down before attempting the walk back, as good an excuse as any

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all, and thanks to Kaz for getting me back on here.
A cold morning has given way to a sunny afternoon (that was a good song, love The Kinks).
MrsC and her sis went to see their Auntie Violet whilst I nipped off to Pontefract hospital to get my blood taken. i;m glad i went there, the nurse was very good. Much better than my wife's last experience of our local GP practice; her arm was bruised and swollen for weeks afterwards.
MrsC and sis have now nipped off to the local library whilst I have a go at the Telegraph crossword.
Enjoy your family time Jan. Jo, that happened to me once when I was walking my friend's dog. He took off after a fox and they both vanished over a hill going like Derby winners. Luckily the dog came back a couple of minutes later.
Kaz, that's the sort of thing I'd do.
Have a good day everyone.
