Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 09 Sep 2022, 05:27

Good morning.

33° today but after yesterday's 36 at least it's going in the right direction.

An early swim then getting ready for a day in Malaga with Don. :cute:

We'll get the bus in then walk (it's right across the road) to Maria Zambrano train station where, for the grand total of six euros each, we'll purchase a tarjeta dorada (gold card) which will give us 50% off future rail travel as we're senior citizens.
As we're off to Seville and Valencia that'll be a fantastic saving. :D

Unlike my UK railcard that I have on an app on my phone over here it has to be a hard copy hence the card but as it's credit card size that is so not a problem to pop in my purse. :P

We'll have a wander round after that and have lunch.

If it's not too hot we'll go east side and walk along the beautiful coast. :)

Back in time tonight to meet our friends for Friday beers and tapas.

Have a great day.

Morning lly, morning everyone

Grey and can't see the Algarve hills this morning  But supposed to be 32C today, so we'll see.

Washing out, just in case ;)

Will attempt to get Grumpy's prescription again, if not, it's a visit there tomorrow. Asked a friend who lives in Ourique if there is a problem and she didn't know of anything, so probably the staff being on a hate the English week.

Cleaning today - amazing how Friday's come around so quickly

Enjoy your day out Ally :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.

On our way home now after a very pleasant break. We got away early hoping to avoid the usual Friday lunchtime/afternoon traffic nonsense around Bristol. Fingers crossed XX

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morningeverybody.

A new gas pipe is being laid in the pavement of the main road. So the exit from the Crescent where I live and the next side road is reduced to the
width of one car.The side road is used by cars taking children going to school. There are now long traffic jams as cars coming down the side road
are blocking cars waiting to turn left or right. I went a different way when i went for the paper. The papers hadn't arrived at 7.00 a.m so i came
home and had my breakfast before going out again.

Have got the washer on so may be doing some ironing later.
The sun is out but there are still some grey clouds. Have had some more rainn in the night.

Have a good day everybody

Hope the traffic isn't too bad Kaz, safe journey x

Change of plan. At last, the prescription came through, so we're going in this afternoon, get that, paint and some more storage containers for me.

Pit stop at the bar on the way back :)

Afternoon all, it’s mostly grey here with the occasional sunny spell. It was very foggy at 6.30 when I walked Bill.

The Tesco delivery has been and that’s all away, there’s just a bag of shopping to drop off for my parents later.

That’s about it for today.

Hope you got around Bristol okay Kaz, it’s awful at times isn’t it. I’m so glad Joe’s not now doing that journey every other weekend.

Morning all :D

Heavy rain overnight, nice and sunny now, wonder if it will last :?

Washing and bed change day for me, enough to keep me busy. Expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Luckily the journey was a breeze, thanks. It definitely paid off to leave early. Got home about an hour ago, unpacked, got a wash load on and Mick and I are now round at D’s.

Good afternoon all.
We did a supermarket run this morning and have just returned from picking Eliza up from school.
We were trapped for five minutes on our drive - there was an absolute cloudburst and we didn't move until it had bated.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
