Postby Ally » 19 Aug 2022, 05:14

Good morning.

Due to be 41° today so my shady lilo will be my sanctuary.

Off for a walk first. :D

Beers and tapas tonight and I'm looking forward to seeing my Friday friends as I haven't seen them since June.

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Enjoy your lilo days, Ally and Jan :D Ally, Harry has Friday friends too, they all meet up at the pub on Friday nights :D  xx

There are a lot of spiders about this year Cruiser, I keep having to dust cobwebs too! There was a particularly large daddy-long-legs type spider in my shower the other day. I didn't see it until I was halfway through  I kept my eye on it for the rest of the shower, but when I got out he disappeared :? I hope he went outside

Mick and I are going out for the day :) Cirencester has been mentioned, or maybe Cheltenham - we'll play it by ear. It's a beautiful day here!

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning everyone.

It is a bit cloudy here and we have had overnight rain, so a bit of relief.

Spiders: a few conkers placed about the house help to keep them at bay, but you will have to wait a while till they drop.

Nothing much on so enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

Morning all, it’s dulling over a bit after a beautiful start.

Bill’s had a long walk, now I’m waiting for the Tesco delivery. I’ve got washing to do but might as well wait for Joe to come home at lunchtime so I can wash his work clothes. He’ll need his work trousers again for Monday and it’s doubtful I’ll have another full load before then. It should dry nicely later anyway.

We went to see Nope at the Odeon last night. It was different, I’ll give it that. It kept my attention for the 2hrs 15mins that it was on for (John fell asleep on and off) but I’m not exactly sure why.

Kaz, enjoy your day! John texted me yesterday afternoon to say he’s booked bank holiday week off and do I fancy a day in London. Did he really need to ask? Just need to see if Tom can come over and sit with Bill until Joe gets home and then train Joe to do eye drops and his injection.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

A bit cloudy, but still very warm.

We decided to give Nope a miss Jo, not sure why, it just didn't appeal.

Washing and bed change day, more than enough to keep me busy, no other plans.

Stay cool and have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s a fairly regular Irish summer day here, sun and cloud but thankfully fairly warm. I have bits and pieces to do around the house, some ironing and a wash load to put on. Our Tesco shop is due 3-5 this afternoon. We went to a big Tesco yesterday to familiarise ourselves with their products as we have just switched from our other supermarket and stuff certainly seems cheaper, plenty of items we would buy are up to a euro cheaper plus free delivery for us oldies seems to make it a wise switch. Great tip about cobwebs - take off your glasses, then you don’t see them ;)

hello and good morning

started this reply 9am and forgot to post - oops so everyone that posted after Kaz have a good day as well x

Ally, that is warm - enjoy the lilo and enjoy catching up with your friends; lots to natter about no doubt :D
Jan, would idiot with chainsaw live next door by any chance :D :D :D? You too enjoy the lilo
Cruiser, enjoy the blue skies and don't overdo the housework. Personally I leave most of the odd cobwebs if they're not totally in the way - the daddy long leg spiders are great for catching pesky flies / fruit flies so I really don't mind having them around
Kaz, have a fab day out and enjoy just pootling about the two of you

Well another usual / usual for me. It's rather overcast at the moment but meant to clear up a bit as the day goes on. A friend has gone away for 10 days so I'm going to pop round and check that all is OK and this evening I'll pop over to the allotment and check on things; but that's about it

have a lovely day all x
