Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Weird weather so far this morning, We started with lovely sunshine and a blue sky, then thick mist rolled in, that's now gone and we're left with a grey sky  Sun forecast though.

Safe journey home Ally :Hi: and welcome back Cruiser :Hi:

Washing doing and out. Making a chilli for Grumpy as it's cooler today. He'll be out prepping walls for painting.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all. Cloudy here too Saundra but the sun is trying to break through.
Welcome back Cruiser and safe travels Ally. Yes, get in the pool Jan, keep cool.
The river was very high this morning. It's a bit odd pulling the curtains back and seeing a duck swimming past the window.
It's Whitby regatta this week but the sea fret has been so thick I doubt very much that they've had any races. The pubs have been absolutely heaving though.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s gone cloudy in the last hour and is very humid. So much for cooling down today, we’re forecast 28° and the forecast of thunder has disappeared.

What a weekend it’s been, on Saturday afternoon we decided to swap the bed in the spare room with Tom’s bed as it’s a better bed. We then decided to remove the furniture from the spare room and replace that with Tom’s (he’d been asked if he wanted any of it but only needed his wardrobe). It was 36° and there’s a u-shaped flight of stairs between the two rooms and the furniture is heavy wood. We played around for a bit trying to find the best way to use the furniture in the spare room, still not decided but we’ll live with it for now. Once that was done I decided to shampoo the carpet in Tom’s old room. We both collapsed in front of the fans at 8pm. Yesterday we built up the furniture for in there, that’s now my ‘craft’ room. John’s got his man cave in the garage with bikes and tools etc and this is my woman cave

We drove up to see Tom and Shannon yesterday evening, that was a 2 hour round drive in the air conditioned car plus it was 4° lower in Leek than here  It’s a really lovely drive up to there. From here to there we don’t hit a town until we get to Leek itself, it’s all countryside and really beautiful countryside at that.

Lots more sorting to do today, and there’s washing to dry.

Safe journey Al!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy here and the air is damp, but still warm. I can see there has been rain overnight, but none of the thunder and lightning forecast for this area. The postman brought me a pair of shorts I had ordered from M&S, I’m pleased with them. Going to the gym later on and Edward has gone to play golf. Lots of bits and pieces to do later including ironing.

Yesterday we spent a lot of time researching memory foam mattresses and we have ordered one from Emma. Does anyone have a memory foam mattress, if so, what do you think of it? Welcome back Cruiser, hope you had a lovely time, and safe travels Ally. Jo, I was visualising you like that scene in Friends where they are trying to move a mattress up or down some stairs and Ross kept shouting “pivot, pivot!”.

Same here Saundra, I've been dithering over doing stuff for a couple of weeks now
Sounds like you're having a good time Crommers.
Blimey Jo, that was a lot to do in this heat, I'd have collapsed long before you did :o
Hope the mattress is suitable Osc.

Not sure what we're doing, was planning to sit out in the garden, but it doesn't look as though the brollies would stay in place. Might go for a walk instead, decisions, decisions............

Stay cool and have a good day xx
