Oddly enough space weather is one thing I monitor and.

A nice coronal mass ejection (CME) was captured early on Thursday and appears to be the result of an event off the east limb. Shortly after this eruption, another event measuring as a C5 solar flare was observed in the vicinity of AR 3060 and although hard to see in this image, may have flung a faint halo CME into space and possibly towards Earth. Another update will be provided once a tracking model becomes available.

I like the articles Tom Utley writes.
Am fed up of the news on TV. The long time about the possible record temperature and every news channel for many minutes being repeated on the
weather forecasts. Again it was all about London and te south east. No mention of Manchester and other northern towns.
The BBC did notlike the fact that Conningsby in Lincolnshire recorded the highest temperature before heathrow.

Yes I saw that Suff. The Express website is just as bed if not worse than the Mail's.
The Express is always forcasting the worst winter for decades. They'll be right eventually I suppose, even though they never have been yet.

Unlikely that they'll be right again. The climate has changed just enough that it will take a 1,000 year winter storm to meet their prophesies of doom.
