Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 18 Jun 2022, 05:48

Good morning.

Hot. Proper roasting hot hot. 8-)

Yesterday was another fabulous day. The metro was super to whizz from place to place and so cheap. Take note London!!

The Museum of Illusions was hilarious. There was one exhibit where Don and I stood face to face with a mirror between us. The mirror was in sections and an employee took our photo resulting in our faces being merged together.
A bit like a very wrong Identikit.
Honestly....we had to hold each other up we were laughing so much!

We had dinner last night at a Persian restaurant and walking home stopped for an ice cream. Two scoops in a tub and after taking ages to decide I opted for vanilla and violeta which was a very delicate rose flavour. Absolutely devine. :D

We're very lucky that we go away for lots of little enjoyable breaks but this one has probably been my favourite.
There's something about Madrid that has certainly captured our hearts. :cute:

Our train is at 2.35pm today and we'll get to Malaga around 5pm.
We'll get the 5.30 bus back to ours, get home, dump the rucksacks then walk into town for a bit of shopping.
It's a holiday in our town on Monday (San Juan feria) so the shops will be closed.

A pit stop at Gambrinus for a cold beer and we'll get pizzas for dinner.

Have a great day everyone. X

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool start with a few clouds around. And rather noisy too, what with two lots of sheep and the donkey

Glad you've had such a good time :D xx

Washing for me this morning as Gladys had a rather big accident in the early hours  so we hopped into the spare room. Molly decided she wanted to come in, but was rather ratty at having to share the bed with Grumpy  She's mole hunting at the moment. Yet to catch one though ;)

Sorting out accommodation in Tavira too, for September :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally, that was hilarious  8-) Glad you’ve had such a brilliant time 8-) I definitely want to travel more after M retires - not many weeks to go now :D :D xx

Ah (((Jan))) what a nuisance. Hopefully it’s a good drying day ;) Have fun planning your Tavira trip 8-) xx

It’s a much cooler day here, but the threatened rain hasn’t materialised - yet  Having our brekky at Corretto’s, outside of course with my little furry pal <3 I need to pop into the outlet mall in a minute to pick up some cards for D, from Hallmark. We’re seeing her later, of course :) Not much else planned for me and M, but B and her friends were planning a picnic and a game of rounders on Plock Court, which is a huge field not far from D’s. If it rains it will be drinks round at one of the girls’ places nearby.

No news on Uncle B yet, the vibes yesterday are very much appreciated xxxx

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all, it’s dull here but not cold. We were to go away for a night tomorrow, to a dance competition in Carlow, and had booked to stay the night. However one of the friends with whom we were going has Covid so obviously they are not going and we have decided to cancel also. Not bothered, the main attraction was spending time with our two friends, and we have a choice of two dances to go to tomorrow, so we’re happy enough. Today we’re taking it easy, I have a wash on but will peg it on the drying rail inside in case it rains, I wasn’t organised enough to have it ready to put out earlier. I’m getting a manicure at 5pm, and there will be golf from America to watch later.

Kaz, you won’t know yourselves when M retires! Ally, that all sounds quite exhausting

Good morning everybody.

Have had my grand dughter from Wednesday afternoon. She has now got the train back to London.
Took her to Boundary Mill at Colne on Thursday. She has never been before. I also bought some things including new pand for the
kitchen.
Back home we had fish, battered sausage and chis for our evening meal with s small slice of carrot cake.
On Friday we went to Chorley. GRandaughter likes looking in charity shops. She boughta lovely yellow dress with black dots.
She says she will wear it ata wedding she is going to. So I have given her one of my wife's clutch bags whch will match the dress.
She also bought a lovely skirt. After lunch we went so I could have a pedicure and she could have a maincure.
In the evening went to a local pub/restaurant for a meal. It meant I did not have to cook.
THis morning we have been to town. She bought a freshly made barm cake with meat filling to eat on the train with some
specail cheese for her father and tw crumpets for her mother.
I had to give her another carrier bag for the xtras she ahd aquired during her short stay.
Am booking for her to come up again in November when it is my birthday.
Relaxing this afternoon may do some gardening as the weeds are growing again.

Afternoon all :D

Hot 8-)

Your trip sounds great fun Ally, sounds like you'll be back to Madrid at some time.
(((Jan))) hope all is well now x
Hope you don't have to wait too long for news about D's brother Kaz x
Always nice to have an easy day Osc.
Enjoy knitting Saundra, glad you're not missing the tv too much.
Sounds as though you had a lovely time with your granddaughter Cruiser, no wonder she likes visiting.

Well we've been even more lazy than usual, didn't wake up until almost 11am  Does mean I'll be plying catch up all day, but just grateful to be able to sleep in this heat. It's bed change day and expecting Sainsbury's to deliver sometime between 3-4pm so won't be doing much else.

Hope you all have a good day xx
