Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 03 Apr 2022, 06:25

Good morning.

Sunny and a pleasant 21C forecast. 8-)

I'm taking Jackie to Cartama market this morning. We'll have a nice mooch round then treat her to a bacon pitufo and coffee. :D

I'll pick up two rotisserie chickens for dinner on the way home.
Conor stayed over yesterday as it's the Old Firm game today followed by Birmingham City.

Whilst Jackie and myself laze by the pool the men can happily swear and shout at the TV.

Tonight is the final, slightly extended Peaky Blinders.
Alas poor Thomas. I loved you well.

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Enjoy, Ally :) xx

The sun's shining here, but there's a thick frost on the ground  Very glad I didn't put my winter clothes away last week when it was pushing 20° :? :cute: ;) Making a cottage pie for dinner later, bit fed up with roasts so I bought some nice lean steak mince. Out for breakfast in a while, then round to D's to put out her garden bin for collection.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sun and clouds this morning after another rather chilly night.

I've stripped the bed and the washing machine is going, as we are forecast rain for tomorrow :Hi:

Cooked breakfast for us this morning and a bbq later.

Working outside again this morning. Grumpy will be moving a rather tall plant that keeps being blown over  It's in a pot, so going into the ground. I'm going to wander down the drive with various tools, to dig up, pull out all the tall lavenders. Some of them are spreading so much, they're hitting the car on the way down

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, happy Sunday

Ally, enjoy the market and the lazy day by the pool - sounds bliss
Kaz, same here - gorgous sunshine but frost (well gone now) on the ground. But hoping that may have been the last of the frost.
Jan, hope you get everything done you want to get done. I'd love to have that much lavender here :D

Well Covid has finally reached me - we had our office dinner on Wednesday night and since then we've had one colleague test positive on Friday, one yesterday and three of us this morning - oops! Yesterday I felt like I may be coming down with a cold which is quite usual for me this time of year so didn't think too much of it. But when I saw the message from the colleague yesterday evening I thought I should best test this morning and here we are - two little pink lines on the test strip. Big concern is that one of the guests at the dinner was our big boss from the US and he's due to fly home on Friday. So we are all now hoping that he stays clear of it and gets a negative fit to fly on Thursday - nightmare for him otherwise :( And I was at a friends for lunch yesterday so have let her know

Sigh.....

well have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning all.
MrsC has just taken Eliza to her other grandparents. Her parents are attending two weddings in two days, one yesterday and one today.
The wedding yesterday stipulated no children so we've had Eliza since 8.30am yesterday. Oh and the male guests had to wear a tuxedo. It's the bride's second wedding. Big country house do, very flash. It doesn't impress me.
Today's wedding is on the son in laws side of the family. So all his side are off, which means there are two dogs to look after. We're having one overnight. This weekend's arrangements have led to a certain amount of strain between me and MrsC. She doesn't mind, but I think some people are taking the proverbial.
Anyhow there it is.
Jan, MrsC loves lavender.
Kaz you did right not to put the winter clothes away. It was freezing here last night and is cold today. I hope it's only mild for you Ria.
Have a good day everyone.

Hope you recover quickly Ria xx

Slight change of plan here

The wind has really picked up and it's a bitterly cold wind too  So we're staying in, until it either drops to more manageable strength or the sun warms us up.

Might have to re-think the bbq too

Know what you mean Crommers, some people really do expect you to drop everything for them.

Crommers, I agree with you (and Jan)... you and Mrs C often seem to be taken for granted by everyone; so I don't blame you for being a bit narked.
Jan, that looks amazing - enjoy!

Well, just had a message from another colleague - big US boss has today also tested positive. That really really scuppers his plans to get back home to the US on Friday :(
