Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 23 Dec 2021, 06:07

Good morning.

Yesterday's forecast showers amounted to less than the waterfall in my daily shower.
Let's hope for more success today. :x

I got a right result when I took Esther for her vaccine yesterday. As her group of numbers was called I went to the door of the cabin and explained I was translating and to give me a shout if needed.
The nurse asked how old I was, did I have my health card/NIE on me, said they were just starting boosters for 60 and over and would I like to be done?! Hell yes!

By the time we'd finished breakfast I'd been on the Spanish Health website and uploaded all the new info to my phone QR.
I'm a very happy bunny. :?

I have an achey arm and shoulder now but nothing that'll put me off meeting up later with our Dutch friends.

Have a good day.

Ongoing vibes for B and WM. X

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Going for some shopping this morning.

Then going to see the nurse to talk about the results of my recent blood test. Will probably be told off again.
Will tell her I am going to indulge over Christmas, having chocolate, wine and whisky.

Have a good day everybody

Morning you two, morning everyone

Ally, that is a result - glad you got your booster x
Cruiser, that made me giggle - good on you. After Christmas is enough time to be all healthy ;-)

Well a bit more work to be done this morning, haircut just before 1pm and then meeting up with Nadine for a late lunch afterwards. So all in all a nice mix of everything :D
Ongoing vibes for Frank's Becky

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning all.
Dull and grey here today but a bit warmer.
Today we have to pick the beef joint and pork pie up from the butcher and do the last shop before Christmas, which will probably be hell.
People wandering around Sainbury's like f*rts in a trance not having a clue what they really want.
Yes, everybody does cheat a little bit a Christmas Cruiser, I'm we all will be.
Yours sounds like a nice day Ria.
My daughter has got the results of her MRI scan and has seen the doc this morning; he has recommended physio so we'll see where she gets with that.
Many vibes for Frank's Becky.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Another dull and overcast day.

Great result Ally 8-)
You and me Cruiser, I'll be enjoying some treats too.
Ria enjoy lunch with Nadine.
Still haven't received cards from Oz Saundra, not sure if they've had ours yet.
Enjoy a nice easy day Jan.
Good luck with the shopping Crommers.
Kaz it's many years since I rushed to the supermarket just as it opened, it was always trolley wars and bedlam :x

We've brought our usual laundry day forward, E will do the bed tomorrow, don't want to be doing any of it over the weekend. Expecting a Tesco delivery between 1-2pm, hopefully they'll have the last few bits we need. Really don't fancy a last minute dash to the shops.

Hope you all have a good day Image

That was really good then, Ally! :Hi: xx

Cruiser, we'll all be over-indulging a bit this Christmas. Enjoy!! :D xx

Hope you and Nadine have a great lunch, Ria :) xxx

Dull and manky here too Saundra :x xxx

Hi Jan :) xx

Crommers, my mum used to use that expression, not heard it for ages   I hope physio will help your daughter xxx

It wasn't too bad at all Jen, after all that. No queues for the car park, fairly busy inside, but straight to a till, on both visits :D :D All put away now 8-) xx

Just some cleaning to do this afternoon, then we're all ready for Christmas! Harry is at work today and tomorrow, and B had gone to her dad's. The trains are all over the place, and her booked one was cancelled, but she managed to get an earlier one for the first leg of her journey, to Reading.

Love to all :) xxx

Afternoon all, it’s a great and miserable looking day here.

I had my Tesco delivery this morning, so I now need to go to Tesco tonight to get the things they didn’t deliver. No Hovis, soft rolls, cream, bananas, sausages, iceberg lettuce, cucumber and no substitutions sent even though I’d ticked the box for subs.

We’ve since been to Birmingham Dogs Home with a big box of goodies and a few toys. Didn’t actually go in and see the dogs (not sure you can plus Bill would probably find himself having a new housemate) but there was an absolute beauty barking at me for attention from outside of his pen. After that we dropped some presents in at Ruth and Rob’s and then took my Mom and Dad’s shopping around, I’ll have to go again later if I can get them some bread.

We had an impromptu road trip to Norwich yesterday. John was born there and lived there until he was 7. I hadn’t been for years, not since the boys were little and even then we tended to go to the seaside or to visit family rather than go into the city. We had a walk around the village where he lived, drove by his Nan’s old flat, went past the house he was born in and also went to the cemetery to put some new artificial flowers on his Dad’s grave and make sure it was tidy. His Mom used to go a couple of times a year but hasn’t been for over two years how. We then went into the city for something to eat and have a walk around, it was lovely to get out for a day and see somewhere different. It’s a beautiful little city.

We’re now watching one of the best Christmas films, Die Hard :D

Have a good day all xx
