Morning all :)

Bright and sunny, a huge improvement after all the rain and wind yesterday 8-)

Enjoy your lunch Ally.
A busy day for you Jan.
Sensible to stay in Cruiser.
Happy Christmas shopping Osc.
Sorry about your German trip Ria, hope you can go in January.
A £90 win, wow Victor, now we all know where to come for a loan
Just be grateful you don't have E with you at the garden centre Crommers. He's the annoying person who walks along turning on all the animated toys/decs and then turns round and does it all again
Our garden is covered in palm leaves Saundra, goodness knows where they come from, the tree always looks full.

Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday, mixed feelings, I've updated my original post in women's health.

Nothing planned, intend to have a lazy peaceful day.

Hope you all have a good day xx

 that remind me years back when we were still living in South Africa. My mom and I were in a small appliance shop and were waiting for someone to help us; and we waited for absolute ages whilst people were just seemingly doing not very much and every time we asked we were told that a colleague will be with us shortly. Next thing I knew my mom said to me "come let's go" and literally dragged me out the shop. We got in the car and as we went round the corner mom started laughing.... turns out she got so annoyed she activated every single egg timer / other form of timer / clock they had - that shop was about to errupt in a cacophony of alarm bells

Afternoon everyone :)

Ria that did make me laugh, about your mum in that shop  Really sorry about your trip, but I'm sure you have made the right decision ((((((x))))))

Jen I am also that annoying person 8-) In fact D and I were doing it with the toys in Sainsbury's the other week - then scuttling away giggling  :D

D isn't well :o She has a splitting headache, rough throat, sneezing, and has had to use her inhalers. She rang us last night to say that my sister-in-law got pinged as a contact, for the day of the wedding  The three of us took lateral flows which were negative, but I am still a bit worried about her :o I went into the Quays first thing to meet a couple of friends, one of whom has moved away to Wiltshire. That was nice, but I was still worrying about D, so walked up and let myself in. She was huddled in her dressing gown still, I tried to persuade her back to bed, to no avail, but at least I could make her a cuppa. She didn't want any food. We'll be keeping a close eye.....

Love to all xxx

I hope D picks up soon Kaz.
(((Saundra))).
Well we have been to the garden centre and the singing Reindeer were brilliant! They will be fame moose one day!
Lots of tat on sale too. Little drummer boy figures at £149.95, a life size Santa at £599.95  and so on.
The exit was through the checkouts. I always get the irrational guilts about not buying anything so bought a bar of Cadbury's chocolate with "I love you" on the wrapper.
£4.99!!!
My legs went weak and the face of the checkout girl swam before my eyes....
That'll teach me!

Oh Kaz, that is a worry for you all; fingers and toes crossed D feels better soon. She sounds very much the same as Trish my neighbour, but hopefully D will agree to speak to a GP sooner than Trish did, if it's needed that is.

I do wonder about the pinging though, I got pinged today saying I was in close contact with someone on the 4th that has tested positive. I was at a friends that evening and she had asked all of us to do a lateral flow before going there which we did. She's now messaging everyone to double check. I had been shopping that morning but surely I'd have been pinged way before now if it was some very random stranger in the shops?

(((Saundra)))) Christmas is a hard time for so many isn't it :(

Really hope your lovely mum in law is okay Kaz xx

How much???? Berlimey, I really must move into the real world.

Arm was achey earlier, but now not so. Just waiting for anything else

Been hot, cold, windy, very odd weather.

This ping thingy seems a bit hit and miss.

Evening all, it’s been a busy day here so I’m only just checking in properly.

It’s been dry despite rain being forecast for most of the day so me and Bill took advantage this afternoon and went for another long walk through the woods and around the common (he’d already had his long early walk). The washing dried nicely in the wind too.

Me and Joe decided against going to the match tonight, we didn’t fancy getting stuck in traffic for a couple of hours on the way home for the third time in six days! It’s a bit of a training session game anyway as we’ve already qualified for the Champions League so it’s not like we’re missing much.

I’m off to Ikea shortly with John, Joe always has a tin of their ginger thin biscuits at Christmas, he’s had one every year for years. I’d better not let him down again, he’s already unimpressed that I forgot advent calendars this year  I need a picture frame too. I commissioned a watercolour of a robin by Amanda for my parents so I need a frame for it.

Ria, fingers crossed for January. How odd about the ping though.

Kaz, I hope D’s okay. What a worry for you xx

Crommers, I hope you enjoy your chocolate at that price!
