So he’s had a check-up today, and although they are pleased with his progress and weight loss - 700g - surgery is very likely. We knew it was the most likely outcome so are not too worried. The weight loss will make recovery easier anyway. The 14th is when they will decide.

I don’t know how I missed this thread - poor Fraggles, cruciate injuries are hard enough in humans but must be very difficult in animals.

Osc, keeping him off his feet is fairly difficult, but we're managing

Well, after several weeks of crating, carrying him up and down stairs, and pushing him in his buggy, there is some good news! Fraggle had his assessment today, he's lost 800g in weight, and he seems to be healing nicely. Chances are he won't need the op after all! We will know for sure in the New Year, but it's looking very promising!
