Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 19 Oct 2021, 06:30

Good morning.

Nudging down to 27 degrees today...hurrah.

Off for a run shortly. I'm going to try a new route that'll take me down and left towards the airport.

A swim this afternoon and reading will feature strongly.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely morning. Stunning sunrise this morning :D

Grumpy down at the ruin, before it gets too hot to work and I'm just pootling until he comes back. Breakfast will be thanks to Chris and Lucy. They brought back some gorgeous cheese and presunto, so we'll have that with some fresh bread and our own tomatoes. Grumpy will have a glass of port

Then I'll get the ironing out of the way.

Reading again this afternoon, with maybe a snooze.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

definitely no sunshine here. It's not cold, given the time of year we had 15 degrees overnight which was quite warm and today apparently it's heading up to about 20 - again warm for this time of year, but it's very dull and windy. Expecting another one or two warmer nights and then temperatures are set to drop quite a bit; but at least it's dry which means I can spend more time outside getting the garden and allotment winter ready.

Had a busy day workwise yesterday; today probably a busy(ish) morning but then I have two people flying to France, and once they're airborne I can relax. The amount of paperwork to be done to fly anywhere these days is just mad; not helped that no website is clear with exactly what is and what isn't needed. When Nadine and I flew to Tenerife we had to upload certain Covid documents onto the BA website and the option to upload was there right from time of booking; yet for these flights to France there wasn't but you couldn't check in online without uploading them and were only told what to do at that point. There just is no consistency (not helped that I get very impatient if technology doesn't work the way it should first time round    :D :D )

Oh well, Sainsbury's this afternoon, GBBO this evening and office day in London tomorrow.

Have a lovely day all xx

Edited to add - Jan, that breakfast sounds absolutely delicious; enjoy.

Morning all, it’s dull and raining.

Managed to get a long walk with Bill before it started earlier though. I’m now back in the phone queue for the doctors because my Mom’s prescription still hasn’t been sorted.

Ria, that’s very frustrating. You’d think there’d just be a standard which all airlines would work to.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning all.
A foul day here, grey and raining steadily.
Grumpy, fortifying himself against the rigours of the day! Good man. Ria, the paperwork sounds a nightmare.
Oh crikey Jo, what a mare. Good luck with it all.
We are to receive the Crofton Terror after she gets out of morning nursery at 11.30.
Yesterday at Sainsbury's we were walking through the car park when we saw an elderly man who had obviously fallen at the rear of his car. We went over and with a member of Sainsbury's staff, got him up and picked up all the bits and bobs that he had dropped. He could barely walk though; he had an obvious problem with his left leg. I just hope he was OK to drive.
A bit of Ally's Spanish sun would be nice today but I won't hold my breath.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Rain overnight, but the sun's out now.

Enjoy your run Ally.
Port for breakfast, Grumpy certainly knows how to live
Gosh what a palaver Ria, hope it all goes smoothly.
Jo how annoying, hope you get your mum's meds sorted.
Hope you survive the Crofton Terror in one piece Crommers

We're off to the cinema this afternoon to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage, loved the first one and love Tom Hardy so really looking forward to it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everybody.
It was raining heavily when I went to order some more plaxtic fence panels. The rain has stopped and the pavements are drying.
I am havong the bottom concrete panels removed before the new panels are fitted. It will mean I will not have to paint the panels, just two supporting concrete posts. Replacing two of the concrete posts with plastic ones.

Now just pootling
Have a good day everybody

Afternoon all, it’s damp but mild here today. It’s been laundry all the way this morning, stuff in and out of the washing machine and some ironing done too. No drying out, so everything is on the drying rail in the utility room. Michael and Kellie will be here today after school instead of Thursday this week - my sister is away for a few days so we swopped. Michael has to go to tennis, he’ll probably get the bus there and I’ll collect him. Edward is currently doing the supermarket order for delivery tomorrow, we don’t have too much food in the house since our holiday, so everything needs topping up.

Evening everyone :)

Sorry to be late again, but what with checking in with D every day and now Harry being here, the days seem to be running away with me

Ally, hope you enjoyed the new route :D xx

That's some brekky Jan 8-) 8-) :D xx

Ria, that does sound complicated! :? xx

It's rained on and off all day here Jo  xx

Oh that poor old chap, Crommers! Hope he drove home ok xx

Hope you enjoyed the film Jen :) xx

Good luck with the fence Cruiser xx

My washing machine seems to have been on permanently since Harry got here, Osc! My washload seems to have doubled :? Hope you can get yours dry :) xx

I've just made a bolognese-style thing with mince and loads of extra veg. B and H had pasta with theirs, Mick had rice and I had a jacket potato. It was early to eat, but the hoards were starving, so what can you do?

Love to all xxx
