My account on fb has been hacked on messenger

Saundra.... first thing DO NOT open any links, videos, photos in any messages. Also DO NOT use Messenger till you have changed your password: see below.

The easiest one is to do this. First off write yourself a new password (mix of letters, numbers, capitals and some of these %£$@?#) on a bit of paper - you will need it later. Something like 5aundr@1sB@rmy or qsWx164@£DfTn - don't use those examples.

Now go to Facebook and if you automatically login please log out and close Facebook. Now go back to login but instead of logging in normally, click “Forgot Password”.

This will take you through a process which will get you to confirm your identity. A one-time code will be sent to your email or a text to your mobile. When you use the code you will be asked to create a new password - the one on the bit of paper. You can always change it again later once you are 'clean'.

Then go here: https://www.computroon.co.uk/2021/02/15 ... is-hacked/ and follow these instructions or get a family member or neighbour to help you.

You can now safely do the other things on that webpage above.

I never do osc but it was from a friend so I did now she is hacked as well I changed my fb password straight away I hope it's ok?

Saundra, it was your friend who was hacked then you became part of the chain.

Good to hear that you have changed your password, that will help. I would delete the message and maybe even the Messenger conversation it was part of, if any.
