Got a lovely message today

In the last 18 months since the start of Covid, whenever I have randomly thought of someone I haven’t seen or heard from for some time, I have sent them a little message. So it was last June, when Dave from Femail popped into my head and I sent him a message on Messenger, not knowing if he even used it or would be bothered. This morning I opened up my iPad and there was a really lovely message from him. He is very well, still with Guy after 20 years,, they are married now, and currently sailing somewhere. He was asking about where former Femailers congregated these days, he said it was lovely to think that friendships made on Femail still carried on and asked me to send his warmest regards to all who remember him.

I always had a real soft spot for him, he is the same age as Miss Osc and comes from just a few miles from here.

that is so lovely Osc. I also often think about people and mean to reach out to them but then get busy and don't. You post is making me realise that I really should make more effort x
