Good Morning Thursday

Postby cruiser2 » 02 Sep 2021, 06:48

Good morning everybody,

Cloudy but dry. Waiting for soemone to come to give an estimate for new Vinyl floor covering in the Kitchen. Said he would be here at 8.00 a.m on his
way to work. I have already had one estimate. It is trying to find a pattern I like which matches the worktop.

Then will do some shopping and go to the bank to pay in a check and get petrol.
Then just pootling.

Have a good day everybody

Good morning Cruiser, good morning everyone

Cruiser, hope the guy turns up and you find a matching pattern. Hope you get everything done in town that you need to.

Such a miserable morning here - dull, grey and really not very nice at all. A usual / usual for me again - work and pootling. Despite the fact that the skies look like they're about to bring rain it's actually very very dry so I'll be heading to the allotment in a bit to water. Need to water my plot and the one next to me as they're away and asked if I could water if needed - which it is ;-) .

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning Cruiser, Ria and everyone

Foggy start but sun is forecast, so should be a lovely day, later

Off to do the Pingo run later and get some stuff from the chemist for my scar. Meant to get it yesterday, but shopping with a 14 and 16 year old was knackering   I still managed to get a rather lovely top and a few other bits. They had to have new trainers, trousers etc for school. Jan has to go back with them on Friday, as we all ran out of stamina

Hopefully, once the sun is out, I can get in the pool again. Not swimming properly, but well enough to get me up and down a few times.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull here too.

I’m just getting ready and then we’re off for a visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town at Ironbridge. We went last September and you get a 12 month pass with your ticket but we hadn’t used them again so thought we’d go today before they expire - and they allow dogs too so we can take Bill.

Apart from that, there are no plans.

Kaz, I noticed on a thread from a few days ago that Harry has some interviews - sending lots of vibes and good luck! Tesco would be great if he could get that, Joe worked for them for a year and found them to be really good employers, he enjoyed his time there.

Have a good day all :D

Good morning all.
Greyer than an NCB vest here too.
Many vibes for Harry, Kaz and enjoy your trip out Jo. You are a good neighbour Ria! (again). Yes Jan, shopping with teenagers can take it out of you!
Hope you find a matching pattern Cruiser.
Eliza is due in a while, which will be nice.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Grey and miserable here again

Kaz good luck to Harry, hope he's offered a job he can enjoy.
Hope you fine a pattern you like Cruiser.
Shopping with teenagers is usually a nightmare Jan
The Victorian Town sounds interesting Jo.
Crommers have fun with Eliza.

Our kitchen sink tap is dripping really badly so Mike our boiler man has been to see if he can fix it. It looks like it's the cartridge inside the tap for the Brita filter. He's tried one cartridge and it didn't fit so is off out again looking for another one. If not it means a new tap, honestly it's just one thing after another at the moment, everything seems to be breaking down, a bit like us!!

No plans for the day, if Mike finishes in time we'll probably pop out to town for a few bits. More Paralympic medals to catch up with later :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, a dull grey day here and chilly. I’ve been doing h/worky stuff all morning, mostly laundry. Back to usual Thursdays with Michael and Kellie here later. Edward is trying a new bolognaise recipe made with pork mince, hope it turns out nice. Oh we’ve booked another holiday to Italy in just over five weeks - nearly embarrassed to say. Better go and have some lunch before collecting the children.

Back again :) Just finished the cleaning, the ironing got done yesterday, and I'll be packing this evening. Fraggle is already getting fidgety, sensing something going on, we've tried telling him he's coming too but the penny hasn't dropped yet! ;) Becky will be home soon, she's worked a half day and went straight from work to Cheltenham to get her gum stitches removed - apparently the dentist was very pleased with it all, she messaged to tell me :) She's already dropped Noodle, her skink, off at Webbs, the reptile shop in town, as they do boarding there!  What a job, eh, being a skink's landlord or landlady  :cute:

Cruiser, I hope the vinyl man came on time xx

It's a dull, grey day here too Ria xx

Ooh gosh, shopping with teenagers!  Jan, I remember it well  xx

That Victoria Town sounds interesting, Jo :) xx

Hope you're having fun with Eliza, Crommers :) xx

Aw Saundra, bet she looked really cute! :D xx

I hope the boiler man finished in time for you to get to town, Jen xx

Osc, that's brilliant!! Whyever not, life's for living ;) :Hi: :Hi: xx

I'll post in the morning, before we leave for Devon, but there's Wi-Fi in the apartment there so I'll be around as usual :) Take care everyone :) xxx
