MM

Blowing a hooley again, so no strimming, although he did the glass curtains and removed the half of the gecko we could see

Met Chris on the way, Lucy still not good, so might not be able to make our meal out on Saturday. Met Jan on the way back and we decided to cancel if Lucy not up to it. I can have another birthday meal when she's feeling better. There's always next year, as they're planning on going back to England next week, as Lucy needs to see her doctors.

Bought Grumpy a happy unbirthday present of butter cookies, so he's already opened it

Not sure what I can do for the rest of the day, feels really cold in the wind :cute:

The people who are coming up to Ourique tomorrow are bods I've chatted to on that forum  Will I ever learn? They're looking to buy locally, so I put them in touch with a couple of estate agents and they're coming up tomorrow to look at a couple of houses. Said we'd meet for a coffee and they like the sound of our bar, so will meet them in Pingo car park and they can follow us.

So Grumpy can get the heavy stuff, like beer, water and wine tomorrow, beforehand.

Done and package now in the priority post box. :cute:

It's warm here....I went out in a dungaree dress, bare legs and a t shirt.

TMI. :o

The car's done and is now safe, but he flattened the battery in the process so I have been for a long drive to get it back to working - Skipton via Ilkley out and Otley back. I quite enjoyed myself. :D

NDN is now setting up the big screen for tonight's game so an excuse to get some beers in. ;) 8-) 8-)

Ally when I had the PCR back in Feb I was given the kit to do myself, and an instruction leaflet! I have a bad gag reflex so not an easy thing to do, but I managed, as have you 8-)

Our weather is/has been awful!! (we're currently in Northumberland at the caravan on our holidays) Yesterday Tom had to go back home for a family funeral, it rained non-stop all day!! Today started off gorgeous, sunny and HOT (at the caravan) so we decided to head down to Low Newton by the Sea, a gorgeous inlet with the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle as you walk along the beach. Rain was forecast so we took brollies, started to spit on as we were coming off the beach and the one pub with only outdoor seating (The Ship) was packed, so we got in the car and drove along to Embleton village and went inside the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel there for a snack and a drink. En route back to the van was constant rain but when we got back, it was awash!! We'd left all the windows ajar as the sun was out when we left (and left Lily dog home as Tom thought it was too hot for her to walk!) and everything was sopping wet!! Backs of seating, insides of windows, everything - as for the huge puddles we encountered on the drive home.....floods would be a better description! Considering Low Newton is barely 20 minutes from us, there must have been a helluva lot more rain here than there! :( There's rain every day in the forecast....it's so disappointing when this is your main holiday of the year and it's so wet. I wouldn't mind the odd day, but this is constant :(

It's stopped for now, and I can see an odd blue sliver in the sky......hope it stays dry tomorrow!

Gal, it's like that here.

You think that it looks OK for a walk.... then it drenches you. :o

I keep on trying, but without much success. A brolly is always needed. The coming weeks look no better.

I got caught out this afternoon. I walked over to the post office, 3 minutes away, for a stamp and the sun was shining. After there I went into the Co op which is next door to it, picked up some milk, paid and in that very short space of time it had started hammering it down. I had my umbrella with me but it didn’t stop my shoes, jeans and jacket getting soaked through. I had to paddle across the A34
