Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 06 Jul 2021, 04:16

Good morning.

I greet you from a mild and sunny looking Scotland. :cute:

Great flight over, all my form filling, testing and printing was worth it as I sailed through border control (everything having been checked meticulously Spain and here) and into James the taxi man's cab. :cute:

Was with dad within the hour.
He'd had a little op on his forehead last Wednesday to remove some returning cancer spots, so apart from that looking sore dad was fine. Frail but fine. I think since I hadn't seen him since January 1 I'd built up a picture in my head so I was pleasantly surprised he didn't look as bad as I feared.

We had a lovely evening, lots of laughs and as I was saying goodnight he said how happy he was I was here. I replied ditto. :D

I'm in quarantine now (although I will post separately about how I need to go out to the post office to send off my days 2 & 8 self testing kits. You couldn't make it up!!) but luckily dad's house backs onto a wood, so I'll do what I did last year and do my early morning runs without the fear of meeting anyone. Not at 5.15am for sure.

Hmmmm wondering what time it gets light as I woke up at 4.55 with it being totally light.

A day with dad pottering in his garden and reading. Same as at home except no pool and no 40 degree heat which is fine by me.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

We're in a cloud this morning and it's drizzley

Glad it all went went Ally xx and hope the same for you Cruiser x

We had planned on watering this morning, but not a hope. Will do it tomorrow or maybe later, before it warms up.

I have ironing to do, not that much and then I'll finish my book. If the sun does come out, I'll be in the pool 8-) Grumpy is going to take the spotlight down and make good the wall. I can then take come photos tonight, just to show it off

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a nice day here and quite warm, Edward has taken his coffee out on to the terrace. His golf has been cancelled this morning, the Hill of Howth has been on fire on and off for about 10 days and it flared up badly again last night. The fire brigade can’t get to it so for safety reasons, the golf course is closed. We are heading off to the optician this morning instead of the afternoon, I have glasses to collect and Edward has a problem with the reactolite coating on his. We’ll buy some fish on the way back.

Cruiser, it’s always exciting when the suitcase comes out! Ally, enjoy your time with your Dad.

Good morning all.

Good to hear that you got here safe and sound, Ally, and that you are settling in.

It was heavy rain overnight and that has kept the temperature down to just above double figures... it could get to a scorching 15 °C by mid afternoon.

I am waiting for the RAC man to call about the car so am a bit stuck until I know whether it will be today or tomorrow. It is a safety thing so I have to go with the flow.

I guess some h'work would keep me busy.... or maybe not. ;)

Morning all, lovely to see that you’re finally back with your Dad, Al x

It’s dull and rainy here. I’ve been down to town for some snacks for Joe, he hardly stopped eating through boredom yesterday but today he’s been given some work he can do online so he’s being kept occupied now. He spoke to someone earlier and they’ve currently got 50 people off isolating. He doesn’t want dinner tonight because Amanda’s ordering him a Chinese.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

It rained heavily overnight and looking at all the palm leaves on the grass we had heavy wind too. It's dry right now, but showers are forecast.

Glad everything went smoothly Ally, enjoy time with your dad.
When are you off Cruiser?
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the RAC to call WM.

We managed to get a lot more done in the garden yesterday, even better E's fine this morning, not sore at all. Looks like I'll be able to get him doing more jobs now ;)

E's collecting his new specs today too Osc so we'll be off into town later. Not sure if we'll be using the bus or going by car, depends on the weather when we're ready to leave.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
