Good afternoon everybody.

I will be going on a diet. They have come and taken the tiles off the walls and all the units in the kitchen. So now there are just blank walls. Not even a tap.
If I want a cup of tea I will have yo bring the kettle upstairs and the milk.
The plasterer is coming at 7.30 a.m tomorrow. Am taking photos of the different stages.
Now going to have a few minutes as I have vacummed all the dust and other bits away. The floor need moping but that can wait till the kitchen is finished.
Osc, saw some photos of where you stayed. It looks lovely.
Have a goo day everybody.

Afternoon all :)

Congratulations Ria, that's brilliant news 8-) :D :D

Cruiser, do you have a microwave? That could be used in another room

Been to Sainsbury's with D, did a big pile of ironing first. Put a white wash, and my new pink denim jacket, out on the line when I got back. It's been dry all day, dull earlier but beautiful sunshine now 8-) My first Pilates class in 15 months tonight   I will be stiff as a board tomorrow, no doubt ;)

Love to all :) xxx

Hello everyone - I woke to a text this morning from Jen to say she has got Covid :( Tested yesterday, got results back today, there's a lot of it about at the Uni but fortunately she's had her first vaccine (BH weekend) so might not be TOO bad! Says she currently feels rotten, typical flu symptoms...Kyle is obv also isolating with her. Oh dear....it IS a worry.

So I am home sort-of-alone for a few nights....Amy and her Tom have gone for a few days at the caravan, but she needed someone to look after her two dogs....we don't have the room for 3, so my Tom has gone there with our dog to dogsit til they get back. I'm pretty sure he won't be staying at her house during the day, but he will sleep there, makes it easier....so I have control of the remote!!!

It's also my weekend off - I've not been feeling so good since the weekend, in fact I took Monday as a day's sick leave, and our planned meal out for Amy's 30th on Tuesday was a very scaled down affair as I only had a few sips of wine and a bit of Tom's dessert.....shame as we also met her Tom's parents and family, and I wasn't my best! Feeling more like me now though, thankfully - popped into town this morning and did the usual stuff, I got a couple of summer things in Tesco (I'm not sure one of them is really suitable for a nearly-61-year-old, but hey ho) and am shortly off to Aquafit :) It's a gorgeous day here, really warm and quite sunny, but we have rain from this evening until Sunday.....

Hope you're not TOO stiff tomorrow Kaz!!

Ooo it's all going on for you Cruiser, I hope you can show us the finished kitchen, it all sounds really exciting 8-)

Oh Jen I hate it when something you've enjoyed is changed....sooo frustrating!!! Hope you find somewhere else as nice!

Have a good evening all x

Brilliant news Ria :Hi: :Hi:

Cruiser, it's a pain not having a kitchen, we ate out

Bit of a disappointing day. The light shades I wanted seemed to have doubled in price  since I last looked and there is not a hope of me paying almost 60 euros each, so plan b. Wait

I think the driving school understood our problem, they just said to wait until nearer the time and then renew the licence, but meanwhile it's okay to drive without one, as it's been registered anyway. Will ask a friend at the week-end.

No lilo, no treadmill and a rather expensive visit to Iceland. But we have decent sausages, Grumpy has pork pies  and I found some other stuff he likes, so he was a happy bunny. He also got 4 new t-shirts

Rather warm still, but at least it cools down nicely at night.

Any news on Crommers?

Gal I do hope Jen feels better soon, and I'm sure having had a jab will help (((((x))))) Pilates was tough, but I enjoyed getting back into it - whether that's still true in the morning remains to be seen ;)

Jan, Crommers has logged in recently, so I'm sure he's ok and will post soon xx
