Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 23 Jun 2021, 05:19

Good morning.

June. Scorchio. Fact.

Just a swim this morning as I've left it too late to go for a walk.

Lazy day reading and staying cool by the pool.

I got everything booked and paid for online yesterday. 35Є for my PCR test here then £170 for the 2 tests at dad's. There were cheaper ones but the information on the gov.uk website states emphatically that I have to use a government approved one. Yeah right...just another way to make money! I had to bide by the rules though as the thought of getting to Glasgow arrivals only to be turned away is just not on.

I have a digital signature on my phone and put all the information on it along with my boarding pass. Normally I'd be happy with that but, to be doubly sure, I've printed all the information off too. There's that bloomin much I've had to put it all in a folder! :o

Have a great day.

Good mring Ally and anybody else who is up.

Going for a pedicure this morning. This was arranged before my wife died. We used to go together. I went first and then Audrey had a full aromatherapy.
The sun is out but no as warm as Ally.
Got the garage door fixed yesterday evening. It was making a noise when it opened and closed. Phoned the man who fitted it at 8.30 a.m on Monday.
He said he woul;d come about 5.00 p.m on Tuesday.
Had a phone call after 5.p.m to say it would be after six when he would arrive. It was 6.30 p.m. Said it was one of the runners which had worked loose.
He also oiled it and checked the other runners. He wouldn't accept any payment for coming. He said he had another call before he went home.
He only lives about half a mile away.
Have a good day everybody

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny :Hi: :Hi: and can only get warmer

Off to the joy that is Pingo soon and also pop into the driving school, to sort out the renewal of my driving licence.

Grumpy has been told to trim his beard before we go anywhere, he looks a lot like a certain bloke who comes round in December

Will take the cover of the pool when we get back, try to warm the water up

Good service Cruiser :D

BBQ and footie later 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Glad your sun and warmth is back Jan.

My friend WhatsApped to tell me she's finally packing her cardi away.

They've hated their weather so far saying it's been the worst they can remember.

Been here 15 years Ally, and it's been the worse winter/spring we've known.

Morning all :D

Nice and bright and the forecast says it will stay dry :D

Well done Ally, what a palaver for you, but good to have it all ready.
Great service Cruiser. Enjoy your pedicure.
A BBQ sounds good Jan.
Another one wondering about Crommers, does anyone have a way of getting in touch?

Planning our biggest adventure yet, E has his eye test this morning so we're planning to go into town on on the bus. Means we can have a mooch round and then stroll down to our lovely harbour for some lunch. No having to watch the clock for the car park, oh the excitement

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Hopefully he and Mrs Crommers had a lovely holiday.
