I'm completely out of the loop Kaz. When Julia paid almost 700,00 for her house, I almost fell off my chair.

This is on our estate, the same style house as ours.
Can’t believe they’re listing it as five/six bedrooms though. If you’ve got a need for that many bedrooms then the room on the floor plan that they’re calling the lounge on the ground floor wouldn’t be big enough for a family.
We use both lounges (the ground floor one was marketed as a dining room by the builders), Joe’s room is bedroom two, Tom’s is bedroom three, four is our guest bedroom and five is what we use for the home office.

A lot of the town houses around where we were in Sutton Coldfield had the garage as part of the house, where the lounge is on that plan. All the living space was on floors 2 and 3 ......

There’s a long row of houses on another part of the estate that are like that Ossie. They look really soulless IMO, it looks like a car park because every front is block paved.

I like this style of house, but agree with you - six bedrooms and one smallish lounge would not work :?

I have never liked houses with integral garages and when the garage over the back went up in smoke because the Range Rover inside caught fire, that completely finished me off. The flames were so high, I could smell smoke, got out of bed, when i got to the landing I heard a scream, ran downstairs looked out of the kitchen window and all I could see over the back were flames. The thought of that being beneath my house :o

We've talked about when we get old and decrepit and can't manage the house and drive. This seems a good idea, quite central in Ourique, on the flat, but a little large. I'll ask a friend, when I see her, who lives there, what it's like and if there are any smaller flats.

Certainly do Jo. The front one's overlook the cemetery and it's quite near the IC1, so road noise may be a factor.
