Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool start again and rain looks to be on it's way. Not a pleasant day, so coffee in bed to start it off and a nice brekkie once himself gets up

Can't do a lot, as outside won't be nice, so inside it is. Reading, I think 8-) Again

Curry for dinner, well, it's Saturday

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We're up early, our jab appointments aren't until 11.30, but it takes so long to get us both showered and ready to go out. The surgery is only a couple of mins away from the clifftop so we'll have our walk straight afterwards.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Morning all, another lovely day. No plan, although I probably should iron a couple of shirts for Edward. I’m sure we’ll have a walk. I am crocheting a shawl and ran out of yarn, it is discontinued but I managed to get three balls of it on eBay, which arrived yesterday, so there will be crocheting.

Good afternoon everybody.

Had a problem with my internet connection yestreday. I am with BT. Amessage on the monitor said I was locked out. So I phoned BT. After doing test which lasted
over 15 minutes they said they would have to send an engineer to try and solve the problem.
I said I was not going to pay as the computer was working correctly on Thursday. Was told the engineer wpould come between 8.00 a.m ans 1.00 p.m today.
He arrived at 8.10 a.m. Good job I had got up early and had my breakfast. He was here nearly an hour with a special test meter. Before he went away he said
he would do some more tests at the cabinet.
I have done speed tests and am now getting 31Mbps down and 7.51 up with ping of 12.0.

Have also been to Tesco for shopping. Going in the gardenthis afternoon. The ironing will have to wait.

Good afternoon all.
A bbq sounds great Ally. I hope your resident chef is on form!
Curry is also good Jan. I hope your computer problems get sorted soon Cruiser. Enjoy your walks Jen and Osc.
Jen, how is E getting on now? It must be good for him to be walking again.
We have just been to MrsC's Uncle Jim's place to drop some shopping off for him. He lives on a council estate which is mostly fine, apart from his neighbours. He has had some right specimens over the years. The current lot have spilled paint on the pavement, chucked kitchen rubbish into the back garden and in the front garden they have an upturned settee, discarded children's toys and various other bits of junk. The house has been abandoned. Despite having a sign proclaiming "family" in the window the woman has run off with another bloke and the man and children have decamped. But they have left the back window open! Ho hum, people eh?
It's a glorious afternoon here, wall to wall sun. This afternoon I will bake a wholemeal loaf and make a cottage pie for the freezer.
Have a great day all.

Good afternoon everyone :)

Mick and I have been enjoying the sunshine today :) Up early as Mick thought it was later, so made us a cuppa! Why he couldn't check the time first, I don't know! :? B was remarkably chipper this morning, considering she'd spent the evening eating and drinking with her friends outside Settebello's, the new Italian restaurant at the Docks. I was listening out for her, and heard her stumble in after midnight  She's out in Cheltenham today, with other friends, enjoying the sunshine. Just had a text, apparently she's having a "lush time" The West Country is definitely rubbing off on her ;) So nice for her to be able to socialise again, instead of having to hang out with us old fogies

Mick and I had brunch at Corretto's, then came home to collect the dogs, and go to see D - we spent a very pleasant couple of hours sitting in her garden, in the sunshine 8-)

Love to all :) xxx

Afternoon all, it’s sunny and warm here.

We’ve been out to a garden centre this afternoon. Been past many times and it doesn’t look very big but John cycled past the back of it last weekend (it’s on Cannock Chase) and said that it stretched back quite a way. We’ve been wanting some column flowering cherry trees for the side garden but no local garden centres had them and everywhere online is sold out, we found two within 5 minutes of arriving at the one this afternoon! They’re lovely strong trees which they’ve grown there themselves, very reasonably priced and they’re delivering them for free on Monday. We picked up a few more plants while there and I think that’ll be the first place we head for in future.
And they’ve got a Springer Spaniel wandering around :D

Kaz, Joe was out last night too. They queued for 90 minutes to get into a beer garden  He’s off out again shortly. Glad Becky’s having fun :D

Tom’s gone up to see Shannon at work, up near Manchester airport.

Enjoy the rest of the day all :D
