Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 22 Mar 2021, 06:16

Good morning.

Sunny and warm. 8-)

I forgot to pop in here yesterday. The boys had stayed over Saturday night and once they'd left yesterday I took myself out to the garden where I spent most of the day reading. I actually started and finished a whole book.

I'm off for a run shortly then back to happily read and finish the second book I started yesterday.

Resident chef is making a tagine for dinner tonight. :D

Have a good day.

Morning Ally and Jan, morning everyone

Ally, reading a whole book in the sunshine - fabulous!
Jan, glad you are taking it easy x

Had a busy(ish) weekend. Saturday and Sunday I ended up helping out at the Covid Vaccination hub where Nadine was working; both days 8-12 shift filling in forms so the registration process could go faster. That clinic. It was great fun to be part of it; and both days the aim was to vaccinate 1600 people; so 3200 over the weekend - just amazing!!!! The two morning shifts that I helped they got through just over 600 per shift :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Both days I left the house at 7.20 and got home just after 1; Saturday I had a relaxed afternoon at home and yesterday I went to Karl and Nadine and chilled there - so perfect weekend (despite nothing done in the garden / allotment)

Off to M&S in a bit to collect Karl's birthday present - his birthday is Friday; and whilst in the area I'll pop into Lidl to pick up a few things. Nothing much else on the agenda my end.

Have a lovely day everyone, as always ongoing vibes for those that need them

xx

Good morning. A nice morning here, blue skies but not overly warm.
Great news re the jabs Ria.
We are trying to get through to the probate "help line" which has been an interesting experience.
MrsC was put through - to the RSPCA, and I kid you not! It was "I will try to connect you" (try?) followed by "Hello, this is the RSPCA. If your call is about probate could you please dial this number" - which was the number MrsC had already dialed! Pretty farcical.
Soon we will go for a paper and to drop the prescriptions off.
Have a nice day all..

Crumbs Crommers; that must be so frustrating for everyone. Dealing with probate is hard enough as it is without having a spanner like this thrown in the works! Fingers crossed you get things sorted x

Morning all, I didn’t get chance to post yesterday.

It’s dull here at the moment but supposed to be quite mild later. We started the day with a long walk through the woods, over the common and back home through the woods again. I’ll take Bill again shortly and make the most of the fact it’s not raining and the mud’s drying up

That’s crazy Crommers, how frustrating!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Nice and bright here 8-)

Take it easy Jan, any news about your op?
Well done Ria, the jab progress this weekend has been amazing.
Gosh Crommers that's bonkers, as if it isn't stressful enough when you lose someone.

E's doing really well, he even managed a little walk in our road yesterday. Only half way down, but it's more than I could do so early, I'll have him skipping round the close in no time  The bed's not so comfortable for him though, but a chap from the Community Rehab team rang this morning and someone will be out in the next week or so to fit risers to our bed, can't come soon enough for us. Oh and our lovely neighbours popped round with a bottle of wine and a big jar of peanut butter, E's favorite treat, so kind.

Apart from getting him out for a little walk again the only excitement will be a Tesco delivery this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

No news Jen. They said April/May and I'm hoping April. It's a real pain not being able to do anything. Just lucky the weather is better now and I can sit outside and supervise

He's just said he'll be taking a month off, once I'm up and running and I can carry on with the weeding, watering and doing everything, whilst he supervises
