Good morning Friday.

Postby Ally » 19 Feb 2021, 05:51

Good morning.

Forecast warm & sunny again. 8-)

I'm off for a walk then back to shower etc then walking into town to meet up with 3 of my colleagues in the plaza for breakfast and a natter. We haven't seen each other since 3 weeks past Tuesday.(eeek! that has flown by!)

I have my usual two zoom classes 4.30 - 6.30 then that's me on holiday (Semana Blanca) till 2 March.

And!!!!!.....at midnight last night our travel restrictions were lifted. All going in the right direction. Yipppeee. :cute:

Don and I can now go over to Jacob's in Malaga on Monday and spend the day with him. Conor can now visit his bro so he's going to join us. :D

I think back to this time last year and how we never knew what was around the corner....hence the sheer joy at getting to see loved ones when we can.
Hopefully soon everybody will be able to see and hug everyone they love. xx

Thinking of Cruiser and Mrs E.

Wishing you all a good day. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning 8-)

Houseworkery stuff for me this morning and hopefully weeding this afternoon.

How lovely that you can move around Ally :D We're still being good and no travel outside your district from 8.00pm tonight, until Monday at 5.00am. That's going on for another couple of weeks yet. But the numbers have come down a heck of a lot, so it's working :Hi:

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Yes Jan, the restrictions seem to have been working here too hence the lifting.

Bars and restaurants will still continue to close at 6pm but it is so lovely to plan and be able to say, hey, let's go out for lunch.

It's good to know we're doing something right and fingers crossed we continue to do so.

Good morning everyone.

Enjoy your family time Ally and your bit of freedom Jan.

It is persisting down and according the the weather forecast it will continue to do so on and off all day - 15mm by the end of play.

Parcels arriving by RM any time up to 1:30pm, so stuck in somewhat.

Thoughts for the Cruisers, hope Cromwell is OK after his jab and vibes for anyone who needs them for whatever reason.

Have as good a day as possible, stay safe and warm.

Morning everyone

Ally, ... enjoy meeting up with the boys and giving them that big hug; try not to squish them too hard :D
Jan, Saundra and Frank - enjoy your days doing what you're doing; Jan don't overdo that weeding ;) and Saundra and Frank hope your deliveries arrive on time.

Ally, I'm jealous; our numbers are coming down but still no sign of any lockdowns easing; if anything it's all being extended by a few more weeks. I seriously seriously have no idea how the economy is ever going to recover from this. So many shops / salons / pubs / restaurants / clubs / theatres etc shut forever - so many jobs lost, it's just heart breaking.

I'm about to head to Sainsbury's to get the usual veg for the chickens and some bits and bobs for a neighbour. Another quiet day workwise so will do some more pootling about

Have a lovely day all; vibes for those that need them and a (((hug))) for those that need one - stay safe xx

Morning all, it’s a dull one and it’s very breezy which is making it feel cold.

We walked Bill first thing and I’ve just had a break before starting on some jobs. There’re a couple of Amazon deliveries coming at some point today, one is a laser measure for John’s work and we need to go over to Lichfield tonight to drop it into the office for someone else to pick up for a site visit. They have two and need two for the site visit, one is in the office already and the other is at someone’s house and while that’s only over in Dudley, the man who has it has had a positive Covid test so it was decided that it’s better to pay £200ish for a new one rather than picking it up from outside his house.
It’s quite exciting to be going somewhere

Al, enjoy getting out and about! Cases are falling here nationally but locally they seem to be holding steady and have gone from being below the national average last week to being above this week.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning all.
I hope everyone's deliveries turn up; mine did yesterday - before the email telling me it was coming. We were in though so no big deal.
I'm fine after the jab thanks WM; I can't even feel where I was injected.
I'm that way about the job losses too Ria; so many people have been hit by this.
I hope that dog appreciates you Jo! He really is a lucky dog.
Well it's grey and damp here to no one's surprise. A bit of the old Iberian sunshine would go down well.
We have a delivery today as well and we need to do the weekend shop, though we might put that off until tomorrow.
Hope the Cruisers are coming along OK.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s a dreary day here with plenty of rain forecast. Lovely to hear of restrictions being relaxed for some - we are possibly looking at another nine weeks  and our cases have plateaued at the moment. I would love them to relax the 5km limit because our 5km is mostly sea! Miss Osc is going to their Wicklow house today as a neighbour reported that the door to their patio is open so she is hoping there has not been a burglary. She is bringing the children and will collect their bikes to take back to the new house. She may be stopped on the way but she has a good excuse - possible burglary - and the police are being pretty sensible from I hear. As for us, same old same old :|

No word from Cruiser, I hope they are ok. Good to hear your jab went well, Crommers (ha ha, I made a mistake with that and autocorrect made it crooner, didn’t know you could sing :P )
