yup that does sound typical cat. What time did she eventually come in? Do you have a bed / shelter for her in the garage or in one of the sheds? At least she'd have somewhere safe if it's needed?

I opened the front door at 4.30 Ria and she was sat on the doorstep

We had a bed for her in the car port, but it's fallen to bits. She'd normally sit either on or under the car. Otherwise behind the compost heap
