Dinner tonight, Thursday

Postby JanB » 14 Jan 2021, 19:04

I bought a huge pork loin yesterday and cut it up into two rather large joints and several steaks.

One joint in the freezer, another for Sunday.

Two pork steaks . one each - for tonight, with saute potatoes, leeks and broccoli in a cheese sauce. Will probably cook the steaks with garlic, we do like garlic ;)

Homemade pasties, mash, cabbage and peas.

Just a bit miffed that I didn’t make enough pastry so that there was some leftover to make lemon curd tarts

Jo, when my mum made a pie she always left enough over for us to make a turnover each, or jam tarts. I always used jam and my sister always lemon curd :)

What a lovely memory to have :)

I’m going to make more pastry tomorrow, just for some tarts
