Ria, have you tried those zip-up net laundry bags? I button up (pop up) the duvet cover, bung it in a big bag and then that goes in the washer. The duvet cover is only ever done on its own on "hot". I use two bags for the rest - one for pillow cases and one for the sheets. Just about to do them today. :D :D :D

We are just back from Tesco's in Hemsworth. Whilst sitting in the car park I heard the unmistakeable sound of a two-stroke scooter.
I looked up and saw it was a black Vespa.
The bloke riding it was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and shorts - it's only 3c!

There was a Hurricane mod for the SS180 which took it out to over 200cc, but it was expensive. Most of us just went for a bog standard rebore and oversized pistons which took it out to about 188 -192cc, if you were lucky. People badged them as 200s but they were a bit of a cheat. ;)

Happy days. :D :D :D

AF Rayspeed used to do a lot of tuning kits for Lambrettas.
Have to admit though, the Vespas were more reliable.

Random acts of kindness.
Firstly the driver of the single decker access bus always reverses down our narrow road to the end of Barbara's (neighbour) drive so she doesn't have to walk to the end of the street to catch it. Then today he got off the bus and carried both of her heavy bags of shopping up her drive and into the house for her. How nice is that?
The yesterday MrsC's uncle Jim's neighbour took him a hot dinner round, unasked.
Normal people doing acts of kindness for others; it restores your faith in human nature.

Like Dave who filled a bucket with rock salt from the council bin and spread it down the paths to the flats of three of his elderly neighbours when it was icy the other day. It's the little things....

It really is those little things that make such a huge huge difference and makes the heart go fuzzy and warm (and no, that's not the sherry :D )

It does help, in these different times, to hear about the helpers. There are always helpers :) :D
